A great, comfortable, easy to access and functional loft in the historic center of Viterbo. Located in the quiet neighbourhood of "Via della Volta Buia", just 200 meters from the "Porta della Verità". Stores, bars and good restaurants are within a few minutes´ walk. This is an excellent place to spend hollidays with family and friends. Thank you again Maria Rita for your great monolocale!
We really loved our stay in Viterbo. The town is like a Fellini movie, narrow, dark medieval streets, but then bright upscale shops in the oddest places. This town has money. We loved the juxtaposition. Few Italian towns are like this.
Maria's apartment is charming, up two flights of stairs. The bed is in a loft, so this is a studio apartment, but spacious.
Like many medieval towns, hilltops or not, you car has to be parked outside the walls, a good ways away. It wasn't really a problem, but at first it was disorienting. Good luck finding the apartment the first time! We bought a town map from the newspaper seller and then proceeded to drive through our night time Fellini movie via some near impassable streets. We survived though.
Viterbo is a good town to visit if you are limited to public transportation. The bus drops you off in the middle of the old town and you can walk to the apartment. Forget the car!
Anyways, Viterbo is a hip place to visit, with great shops and hidden sights. Maria is easy to work with too!
A very beautiful apartment. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Nothing was missing. We fully recommend it.
