The Space

GREAT VIEWS!
Our comfortable & unique 4 bedroom beach house sleeps up to 8. It's in a rural setting steps from the Pacific Ocean. Take a short walk along the levee to restaurants, markets, stores & the beach. San Francisco & SFO are close by.
------
You are at the beach, it is very casual and laid back.
**** Sometimes it is busy - surfers, skate boarders, dog walkers, cars, trucks, chickens, ducks or maybe a wedding next door at the Firehouse Community Center.
**** Sometimes it is serene… not a soul in sight -you can hear birds in the field, Llamas across the street, waves on the shore, enjoy the sun or the fog and "the world is your oyster".
------
Our Pacifica property is located 100 feet from the water. We are surrounded by Linda Mar Beach, the Pacific Ocean, the coastal mountain range and our quaint neighborhood of Pedro Point on the hill to the south. Sit on the deck off the Master Bedroom and watch the surfers and all the activity in the neighborhood.
------
The master bedroom is on the top floor overlooking the water. It has a king size bed, rocking chair, deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean and private bathroom with walk in shower and jacuzzi tub.

The main floor at street level has the kitchen, living room, dining room and an office.

The lower level has one bedroom with a king sized bed, one bedroom with bunk beds and one open bedroom with TV, musical instruments and two trundle beds. There is also a gym on the lower level.

There are 3 full bathrooms available, one on each of the three floors.
------
Our Pedro Point neighborhood is an eclectic mix of California homes, all shapes and sizes, that make our (email hidden)ere is a community center next door that can be rented out for special occasions.

Pacifica, California was voted Rand McNally's Most Scenic City for 2011. There is a rural feel even though we are close to the city and all the Bay Area has to offer. It is a short walk, or bike ride, from our door to shopping, dining, trails, beach or to the SamTrans Bus station at Linda Mar Shopping Center across the highway. You can take the bus to the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train station in Daly City. BART trains go to SFO, San Francisco, East Bay and a bit beyond. We are a 10 minute drive to Pacifica's wonderful fishing Pier or to our local golf course - Sharp Park (designed by Alister Mackenzie (designer of Augusta National).) You will have easy access to 2 of America's most scenic road ways- Highway 1 to Big Sur & I-280 to Silicon Valley. We're 15 - 30 minutes (depending on traffic) to San Francisco and to the San Francisco International Airport. We are 90 minutes from Napa Valley wineries, 4 hours from Lake Tahoe Ski resorts and 4 hours from Yosemite Valley National Park. Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Pacifica will come pick you up.

  • Loved my first experience with Airbnb. Our host, Ginny (and John) were very welcoming. They made sure that things were comfortable for us. The accommodation was just as described and worked very well for us. It was easy to get to and where we wanted to go. Loved our visit!

Peg, we loved having you and Jon here. So glad you enjoyed yourselves. Wanted to tell you about the book I ordered. It is on Amazon and is called Legendary Locals of Pacifica by Chris Hunter. Chris is on the board of the Pacifica Resource Center with me. There are about 100 people profiled including Rev. Herschel Harkins. Many of them are people who lived here during the same years you did. I think you would like it. You could pick one up online or I would be happy to send you a copy signed by the author. If you'd like that I would need to get snail mail address. Ginny

  • This home is truly beautiful and so nicely decorated. My family and I all agree that the home is one of the nicest we have stayed in during our vacations. Number one, the awesome view of the coastline with surfers catching waves and children building sand castles puts it at the top of the charts. Number two, the master bedroom with the balcony overlooking the shoreline was my favorite place in the whole house. I sat in the cushiony lounge chair and read my book, glancing at the water while getting a sun tan. Number 3, I have never been in such a beautiful and well-appointed kitchen fully stocked. Number 4, The family room off the kitchen is large and comfortable with a big screen TV that comes with Netflix, and two guitars for my guitar playing sons. They were happy campers to say the least. We got a puzzle going on the large dining room table which we finished before we left. There were plenty of beds for everyone, and Thena was a doll catering to all of our requests. My only suggestion to the owners would be to leave us more room in dressers, closets and refrigerator to put our belongings. If we had been there for a much longer amount of time that would have been an inconvenience. It was more than generous of the owners to allow us to use their condiments, food in the fridge etc. We definitely would like to come back some day.

  • The house was spacious and perfectly suitable for our group of 15 people. The town was off-the-beaten-path and charming. Nice distance from the city.

We had some unfortunate exchanges with the owners because my sister had people over after a graduation party, so unless you plan on being pin-drop quiet after 10pm, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Also, they have dogs (as stated) so be cautious when booking if you have allergies.

  • Spending the weekend at John and Ginny's was comfortable and fun. We had nine family staying at the home and my daughter's Baby Shower, on Saturday. We had guests from as far away as Alaska and Florida and more than we expected. Even though it rained most of Saturday, there was room for all.

John and Ginny, thanks for the hospitality!

  • Their home was BEAUTIFUL, organized, spotless, and just as advertised. I've grown up in the peninsula but have never been to a Pacifica home that felt like I was on vacation!

  • Ginny and John are incredibly gracious and friendly hosts and their home in Pacifica is beautiful. It is located right on the beach and has incredible, idyllic views of the coastline and ocean. The house is large and perfect for a larger crowd. We had about 16 people for three nights and we were all able to sleep comfortably, cook food together in the kitchen and hang out in the living room and by the hot tub. Ginny and John checked in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly and otherwise left us to our own devices to enjoy the beautiful area. I would highly recommend staying with them and taking a vacation in sunny Pacifica!

  • The house was as advertised, large, in great shape, everything you needed was at your finger tip. Great location off a major highway next to the ocean. When we needed anything they took care of it asap. Would stay again and probably will when we have weddings out there.

  • I planned a corporate offsite for a team of 9 at Virginia's house. Virginia was incredibly easy to deal with, and was so accommodating. She even tested out a pizza delivery place nearby (Luigi's), and then gave me a review, so I could feel good about recommending it as a lunch option for the team. I would rent this property again, for (website hidden) from my team:

"The house was perfect, enough rooms, perfect internet connection, hot tub, and perfect equipment."

"House was very comfortable, nice view, hot tub."
