This is a unique spot as it is right beside the forest, yet, honestly only 6 minutes flat walk to the beach. Hence it has an 'away from the city', feel to it.

Guests have access to the whole house by themselves.

The area of Airey's Inlet-Fairhaven is a quieter destination than its neighbouring towns of Lorne (15km onward) and Anglesea (8km back) from Melbourne. Yet it is just 10min drive either side of these if you'd like to visit then retreat back to peaceful Fairhaven! The 6km of beautiful beach is fantastic all year round whether for walks or surfing and swimming. The new Fairhaven Surf Life Saving clubhouse opened on Dec 20 2014 and offers great evening meals and a bar at which you are most welcome. Apart from the beach with its obvious beauty and water sports, other activities/places of interest in this area include: local galleries, cafe's, bush and beach walking, horse riding and golf to name a few. There is a shopping strip with a pharmacy, small super market, cafes, ( excellent one is Airey's foodstore and deli) fabulous Airey's Inlet Hotel, (not your average Pub!), hardware and restaurants including Freestone's Roadhaven, A La Grecque and others.

I do know of a place where you can see koalas in the wild! And, as is well known, The Anglesea golf course has kangaroos grazing especially at dusk!

  • We stayed with 2 friends in Jacinta's wonderful home. It was clean, spacious and had everything that one needed to have a beach side holiday. We used the BBQ on the verandah and it worked perfectly. We cooked in the kitchen each night and there was so much room, bench space and all of the kitchen ware that one would need. The bathrooms were fantastic with great showers. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The lounge room was full of games which we enjoyed playing. Each night we built a fire in the fireplace which added to our pleasure and comfort. Jacinta was a great host and most communicative with me before and after our arrival. Her husband, Greg, checked on us to make sure that all was well and it was. We didn't use the downstairs but if we had had children it would been great to play table tennis and table soccer. This is a fantastic place to stay. I highly recommend it!

  • Jacinta's house provided the most perfect environment for a getaway with friends. Lovely big bright rooms, well maintained, mod cons, gorgeous ocean/forest views and lovely big balcony to soak up the fresh ocean air. We even had some visitors, Kookaburras, Roselleas and Magpies who were all very friendly and were happy to sing for a snack. The downstairs apartment/games room saw some pretty exciting ping pong challenges. There were so many other enchanting qualities to Jacinta's house. I highly recommend a stay here, Summer or Winter. 10 out of 10!

  • Thank you for a lovely stay Jacinta. It was a pleasure to communicate with you via email and sms, and we appreciated the recommendations you gave us for cafes and restaurants in the surrounding. Thank you for solving our minor bedding / sheets crisis!! :-)

The house is situated in a quiet gully in Fairhaven with expansive ocean vistas from all aspects the lounge room. The accommodation was well equipped and it was perfect for our weekend birthday celebrations for adults and kids alike. The table tennis and soccer tables were welcome bonuses in a separate rumpus downstairs which was well utilised by all. We loved the nearby walking tracks / horse-riding trails up on the hills behind the house. The beach and lighthouse in Fairhaven was a stone-throw's walk away. We will definitely re-visit again!!!

  • Turns out through the great friendly correspondence with Jacinta we found out we are related.. Airbnb just bringing people together!

We had such a good family holiday at her place in Fairhaven. Couldn't of asked for more, the house was exactly as it appears in the images, is in a really nice location and has an awesome deck for chilling out on!

    Would definitely stay again :)

    Thanks Jacinta!

  • I had an incredibly relaxing stay at Jacinta's holiday house.

The living area is spacious, full of light and has great views. And the outdoor deck is perfect for an afternoon or evening BBQ. There were plenty of board games in stock to keep us occupied as well.

The beach is also only a short walk away. I could have easily stayed here a bit longer. Look forward to my next visit!

  • . From the moment we decided to book this venue, Jacinta was the perfect host - she even called round with a bedside lamp for us to take to the house, because we had elected to use the twin single room. What service! . The house was exactly as shown on website - no! way, way better! It was spacious, light, modern, clean and had everything we could possibly have needed to make our stay comfortable. I would love to return fora longer stay. Fabulous location, thank you so much.

  • absolutely incredible location and place to stay. the place is faultless! perhaps the biggest highlights were the incredible views of both the sea and the Eucalyptus forest, sunset, kangaroos in the garden, the dvd collection, and above all the trampoline! Jacinta is a great communicator, and was helpful every step of the way. We've recommended the place to friends already, and we'll definitely be back!

Hi , I'm lucky enough to have a gorgeous holiday house very close to the Great Ocean Road. I love my friends and family to use it and I also rent it out through a local agent. However, my darling kids (all 4) who have very successfully used Air BnB over the past 12 months both overseas and in Australia, have pressured me to add my place to AirBnB! Consequently, here it is! I live in Brighton, Victoria and am now at the 'stage' where I have a heap more time to myself. The kids range from 23-30, and do appear back at the door sometimes, but are basically "gone''. My love of travelling plus the motivation and get up and go of my kids , currently has them spread from London, Nurenburg-Germany, Nicaragua and Koln-Germany! My business, 'Ladies Back On Your Bike', has me pretty busy yet able to travel a bit too. Consequently, I manage a fair bit of travelling , either with my husband, or a group of friends, or even solo. This travel usually involves a cycle trip . My most recent was a solo trip from Beijing to St Petersburg over 4 weeks on and off the Trans Siberian train. Then with a few friends a week cycle trip over a few islands of Denmark...Magnificent. As long as I can eat healthily, (lots of avocado and yummy tapas , would be my favourites) cycle, enjoy my family and friends, do a wee bit of charity work, and a touch of work, and constantly appreciate just how lucky I am....there is nothing else I need. Please, enjoy my place, the 6km of beautiful beach, the walks from my back door into the National Park, the walks from Lorne...the eateries!
