Its a nice place to stay if you are looking for comfort of home and a room for yourself. While Celeste was traveling while I checked in, she was constantly in touch with me over phone to ensure that I am comfortable and settle in. The room was large with bath. It was clean. The red room also has a large closet and a great view. It was great to be there. I recommend her place.
Celeste was an ideal host. The room was large, comfortable, clean, with a private bath. When I arrived -- late from a long day traveling -- she offered a lovely pasta dinner and made me feel right at home. Couldn't recommend her more highly.
We had a wonderful time at Celeste´s place! She is such a warm and kind person who is very intersted in people from all over the world. From the very first minute we felt very comfortable at her place. She even invited us to have dinner with her and some of her friends. It was also nice to meet her other airbnb guests who were all really nice and gave us some sightseeing tips for San Jose.
The room was very big and clean and the king size bed was super comfortable.
Thank you so much Celeste! We really enjoyed our time at your lovely house!! :-)
Celeste quickly made me feel right at home. She introduced me to her friend John and invited me out on the deck (nice views) to visit with them and hear some of their stories and tell a bit of mine. Seems she has an international house where she has hosted people from around the world. When I was there, a young man from Germany was staying for a few weeks and a woman from Hong Kong was visiting for a time.
I cooked dinner using her grill that was gifted by another guest and didn't feel that someone was watching over my shoulder; Celeste was very gracious even snapping a photo of me grilling which I sent to my mother on her new Chromebook.
I will be back if only to visit with Celeste and, of course, rent a room.
Celeste is a wonderful host. I had quite a busy schedule when I was in the Bay Area so unfortunately I did not have much time to chat with Celeste :( But 1 minute after arrival I already knew that this was the right, no the perfect place to stay. You don't get that kind of experience in a hotel room. I am a frequent "Silicon Valley commuter" - from South Carolina to the Bay Area almost every 5-6 weeks so this stay for sure won't be my last one at Celeste's house. Thanks Celeste and "Auf Wiedersehen & Bis Bald" as we Germans say.
Simply put, staying with Celeste was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Her home is located in a quiet residential area of large, spacious suburban homes. Plenty of parking and easy to find with (website hidden) Maps.
The house itself is large and spacious with a welcoming, homely feel. The views from the back porch (and bedroom...) over the mountains are simply breathtaking. Many mornings we dined on the patio just for the view and the warmth of the Californian sun.
The room is very large with a Californian king, a 42" plasma TV with cable, double vanity mirrors and a private bathroom.
However, despite all of this, the most enjoyable part of the stay was Celeste herself. She is respectful of your privacy, and will leave you to your own devices. However personally, she provided such a a warm, welcoming environment that despite being over 6k miles from England, I have never felt more at home. A truly wonderful lady.
Celeste's master bedroom has ample space for a couple. The bed is fantastic. It's a split king just like my wife and I have at home, but she has a topper pad on it that makes it feel like one mattress. There are a couple of other long term tenants that are helpful and friendly. Celeste was a great host, always asking if I needed anything. She made me a quick vegetarian dinner one night when I didn't have time for dinner. Her place is a little out of the way (for me), but with the GPS and looking at the address on the house, I was able to find it easy enough. It is in a nice neighborhood, with sufficient parking, even on garbage day. My only reason for not giving her 5 stars was that some things needed a little more cleaning, but to be fair to her, she was gone when I arrived, and depended on the previous guest for cleaning. I noticed then when she returned that the floors started to sparkle. I have no qualms about recommending the place. Just remember that there is someone next to your room and below you and be a good citizen to the community. Overall a good value.
