Had a great stay in rome, very close to termini station and accessible to tourist buses and within walking distance of the main part of rome. Vladimir who let us into the apartment was very nice and accommodation, calling to check on arrival times and organising our transportation to the airport on the last day. The only issue, and it's nitpicking, was that there were a few dirty dishes in the cupboard that weren't cleaned properly. Would definitely stay there again
My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights over the new year period. We found it to be satisfactory for our needs over this busy time as we had dinners and day trips planned throughout our stay and only really used the apartment to sleep in. It was clean and extremely unique and interesting with all the art pieces and is located near to termini station and about a 12 min walk to the Colosseum. The biggest downfall about this apartment are the noisy neighbours above.
The strengh of this apartment remains its location just 10 minutes walk from the Vatican and 20/ 25 minutes from Piazza Navona . Communication ( by phone or email ) with Mr. Brunelli about check-in was efficient.
However , we never had the chance to meet Mr Brunelli who had delegated to the maid the check-in and check-out. This lady is speaking only Italian , and she merely prepares the beds and collects a tax !
Finally, if the apartment is properly furnished , it lacks a real oven ( there is just a microwave) a toaster, and the only bathroom in which is the only toilet is frankly inadequate for 4 / 6 people.
The lack of double glazing ensuring a minimum sound insulation is the big downside of this apartment. We had the impression (even for good sleepers like us ) to sleep in the middle of the street and Via Cola di Rienzo is paved , so we let you imagine ! Without anychange on this point, we strongly do not recommend this apartment .
In order to answer about your comments about the apartment : This property has been renovated not very long time ago and it is located in one of the most beautiful streets of Rome .... that is Via Cola di Rienzo and it is on the 3rd floor ! So now in the description of the apartment it is written that there is " Forno a Microonde " , that is the Microwave ..... and in the description it is written that there is only 1 bathroom ... so now I do not understand why you are complaining about this point !! You should know that there was only one bathroom !! Regarding the person that was managing the check in this lady is not a maid but she normally makes welcomings for us since long time , she is a kind and clever person and she speaks good english ! Furthermore this apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a tall ancient building ... so I do not know how it could be noisy !!
The flat is beautiful (perfect for 6 peeps) and the location is awesome, just five minutes from San Pietro Square. Marco and Vladimir (the guy who was able to give us the keys because we arrived late) were very nice to us. I would totally stay there again if I come back to Rome again! Cheers!
We were in Rome for a wedding so we stayed in this apartment
It was great! Super location super clean super furniture :)
The person with whom we checked in and out is very friendly
The Castle of Scandelluzza is definitely a unique place to stay. Stepping inside the gate you are immediately taken back to a time of shields, sculptures, and grandeur. The rooms are extremely comfortable, complete with everything you would expect at a hotel (including mini soaps, a mini fridge, and cups). Throughout the entire Castle there is a lack of light, which when I asked about I was told that due to the era of the castle, that is normal. The amenities page is a little off in that there is no kitchen available to use, and the wifi didn't work. The Castle is also run by a group of people who didn't speak Italian extremely well, which made our pick up at the train station a bit frightening. Marco was wonderful, however we didn't get to meet him. Instead a family (or group) of Serbians were in charge of getting us checked in and were somewhat rude to us.
The pick up and drop off worked well, although with our group size we needed three vehicles and that made things a bit tricky.
Overall this was a good experience, and I would stay there in the future.
