About This Listing
Dragon Fly, as it is affectionately called. is am amazingly private, quiet, and serene home located on the North East Cape Fear river, about 25 minutes from Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach.
Built in 2002 by the current owner as a vacation home, this home is the ultimate getaway. A brand new cooks kitchen, massive deck and screened in porch face the river, and a projector + 10' screen for screening films help to make this place very special. The home boasts 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, with an extra large jacuzzi and walk in shower in the master. Nearly every piece of furniture is antique (circa 1900) and most of the art is from local artists. Feel free to take the canoe out or take a quiet walk around the adjacent pond to view the many animals and foliage that call this region home.
The property comes with caretaker in the event of questions or additional needs. A cook and cleaning service can also be arranged.
We are open to entertaining a longer term lease for those that may be interested.
Thank you very much for your interest.
My friends and I stayed at the Dragonfly river house for New Years and it was an amazing experience! All the beds were made, fresh towels and linen, and everything was clean. The house was incredibly well stocked, and all we needed to bring was food. Aaron and his father were extremely quick in answering any of our questions prior to the trip. The view of the river was spectacular, and the house was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this house to everyone.
We had a wonderful time at this Cape Fear River House for the Holidays!! It had plenty of room for all of us(9 people in our party).
It was well stocked with linens, sheets & paper products. The kitchen
had all the conveniences of home. We went into downtown Wilmington one day which was about 30 minutes away. It was a pleasure dealing with the host Aaron as well as Cliff. We would highly recommend this property to other guests. Thank you!!
Clint and his cousin were great. Gave tips on the local area and a bit of history. We enjoyed the movie screen and canoe!
My family absolutely loved this house and the whole experience. Aaron and his father Cliff couldn't have been more helpful and responsive when we needed them. They provide everything you need. Everything was clean and beautiful. From the beautiful bedrooms, the amazing decks, and all the extras this place is so wonderful. The shower on the main floor was a highlight for me. We went canoeing, grilled, played pool and darts. There was a power outage after a big storm. I called Cliff, and the power came back on while we were talking. We had a good laugh about how fast he solves problems! He didn't make me calling seem like a bother at all. It takes about 35 min to get to the beach from the house, but honestly- you might not miss it if you just stay and soak everything in this house has to offer. Thank you to the Davis family for sharing such a lovely place with my family. We will hopefully return soon!
Aaron responded right away every time I sent an email. Very nice and friendly. The house was beautiful and so peaceful! Aaron dad called me the night we arrived to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend this beautiful river house!
Thank you Aaron for letting us stay in your beautiful house!

About the Host, Aaron
love all...hate none...
I grew up and went to school in North Carolina and then moved to Los Angeles. I've traveled world sailing, playing rugby, and in search of adventure. I'm a business owner, a student of life, and a good friend.
To me, the amount of laughter and happiness are the only metrics deserving of measurement.
