I offer a cozy place to stay that is conveniently located in the center of Vancouver. Nestled in the quiet of a residential street, my home is a little sanctuary among the busy bustling city. I'm on the lower level of a heritage house with a secluded private garden, and spectacular view of the city skyline from the street and upper balcony!
What does this location have to offer that other airbnb listing don't ?: An awesome combination of a Super Location! Great view of city! Best public transit connections! Rental of bikes! - SUPER LOCATION - the house is 5 mins walking from the Vancouver Sea Wall, 2 mins from Broadway cafes and restaurants, 20 mins walking to the artistic delights of Granville Island (Less than 10 mins by bike), 30 mins walking to downtown core (15 mins by bike). And with the most accessible public transit the city has to offer at it's doorsteps, this location really is in the middle of it all !
- YOUR ROOM + PRIVATE ENTRANCE - The private bedroom itself is calm and quiet, with a more modern feel than rest of my home. It is located in the back end of the house, with a side door entrance into the hallway outside the bedroom that can be used as your own private entrance. What's nice is that you can access the washroom directly from bedroom hallway without having to cross over any common living areas, and I have a bit of curtain in hallway outside washroom for added privacy for those who want it. There is also a small sink and kettle for use as your please, along with access to the rest of the house, and garden as well.
- BONUS - If you have an artistic flare, there is also a creative space for guests in the humble studio (Also good for office desk work as alternative place to sit and work). This room is used for anything from recording music to painting on the walls :) and musical jams in the bright living room for any guests who have musical interests.
- BIKES! :) - In advocating an environmentally conscious lifestyle and convenient means of transportation, I offer rental of my bikes at less than half cost of bike rental shops. Bike rentals are $15-20/ day depending on what bike type you choose ( I have road and mountain style type bikes). I offer bikes to use. The city is very bike friendly, and most places can be reached on a bike faster than public transit or walking! Luckily there are two main bike routes within a block or two of the house. If you opt for public transit, that's easy too as I live in the most well networked area of the city for bus and skytrain! 5 min train to shopping on Granville / Robson Street, or Gas Town area (15 -20 mins by bus), direct bus line to UBC and direct Canada line from airport or to BC Ferry Terminal.
For world and work travellers, artists or those who want to experience a home like feel in the city center of Vancouver, my home is the perfect place ! :)

You will have your own private side entrance, bedroom with locking door, with key to your side entrance and bedroom. You will have access to back house for extra storage if needed, the washroom, side kitchenette (for mornings and late night). Kitchen for meal preps after mornings, evenings.
Interaction with Guests
The living room, kitchen and washroom are a shared space. I often do work from home, so while I may be here I am not always available to chat. Usually I prefer early morning and late nights to myself for productivity and relaxation.
The Neighbourhood is truly in the midst of it all! The Sea wall is literally a 5 minute walk from the home, with beautiful views of the city. The sandy sea shores of Kitsalano are to the left, downtown ahead, and east shopping to the right. VGH a 3 minute walk around corner. For the healthy conscious and food lovers, I live on the same street as Whole Foods! with many other grocery stores within walking distance, and more sushi restaurants and coffee shops in a square block radius than you can imagine! :-)
2 major canada lines 6-10 minutes walking from the house, plus bus 9, 99 direct along Broadway to UBC. Bus 17 direct to downtown Granville. You can also walk to downtown across bridge in 25 mins! :) , take the sea bus over from Granville island, or bike there in 10 mins :)
Other Things to Note
I'm really getting into fitness and nutrition! A bit of a Vancouver Cliche! :-) I am more than happy to share what I've learned along the way.. I'm very passionate about exchanging alternative and natural based ways of curing ailments through good nutrition.
During your stay:
As a Green city, Vancouver encourages environmentally friendly lifestyles and I encourage it in my home too! :) Please recycle your bottles/paper in dividers under the sink and compost leftover foods in container on counter.
I also ask no shoes in house please, and to limit use of air pollutants like bottle sprays, hair-dyes, sanitizers, or oils/lotions that may stain sheets. Many thanks! :)
