Delightful place to stay, and the hosts are delightful people to meet and know. Very comfortable, convenient location. Thanks.
These folks are wonderful. The accommodations warm and homey; the neighborhood full of tree-lined, quiet streets. Most of all, we just enjoyed getting to know our hosts, who we are already planning to see again. We enjoyed discovering our shared San Antonio experiences and are saving the anniversary wine they gave us for a special moment.
Caveat: You may enjoy your hosts so much, you'll consider 86ing your Austin plans. (:
Diane is a lovely host. The room was impeccable and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring downtown and South Austin. Done keeps a beautiful home and the separate entrance was a nice bonus.
I had an awesome stay with Diane and Lupe. They were so friendly
and really made you feel welcome. Would love to stay next time I am in Austin.
This location was only minutes away from the Omni on Governor's Row so it was ideal for my conference and quite a bit of savings over the nightly booking rate! I unfortunately was not in Austin for "play" and was on a tight conference schedule. The accommodations were as advertised. Nice to have a separate entrance so I didn't feel like I was disturbing everyone after my late night business events and dinners.
If you enjoy Austin and would like the adventure of doing so while feeling like you're visiting friends in a great Zilker Park/Barton Springs Pool/Town Lake house and neighborhood, just minutes from all that, plus downtown Austin, with your privacy respected and no strings attached, Diane's place is the best!
If you'd also like to enjoy meeting and talking with friendly, warm hosts with fascinating stories to share, and with the world's sweetest dog, then you've met your match.
If you prefer keeping to yourselves, don't worry; no strings attached - they will leave you alone.
Beyond that, Diane & Lupe's place was clean and lovely, and she was attentive to all of our needs.
We will return!
Diane and her husband were wonderful hosts. and very interesting and well read people. Their house is beautiful, exactly as in the pictures. Guest have a private entrance out onto a lovely courtyard with a cozy seating area with table/chairs. She has thought of everything from the hook on the back of the door, to little chocolates treats and cold water bottles at the side of the bed. The bed was super comfortable - always top on my list of musts. It was also super clean! Everything spotless.
Diane's place is in our top 3 places to stay in the USA. (Mecon River bnb in WI and Ohio Barn in Dayton are our other 2). When we come to Austin we will definately book with Diane.
Oh and if this is your first trip to Austin, it will change your ideas of TX. Wonderful city. lots to see and beautiful greenery and trees.
A perfect location for a visit to Austin! Our stay began with a friendly welcome from Diane and Lupe. We enjoyed the spacious room and great shower after long days at ACL. Everything we needed to be comfortable was covered by our thoughtful hosts. We were delightfully treated to tamales and great stories, too. The walk to ACL was easy and less than 30 minutes. With car, we were minutes away from Lamar and had no trouble getting downtown. So glad we had the opportunity to meet this loving couple and their sweet dog, Heidibaby. Another great AirBnb experience to rave about that we would love to repeat in the future.
Really enjoyed the stay with Diane. My wife and I stayed for ACL, and it was a great location. House is well-maintained and Diane was very accommodating. Diane was even nice enough to provide us with some information on ACL when we arrived. I would recommend the stay to others.
I couldn't have asked for more. The room, bath and house were lovely. Diane is a gracious hostess and if I'm ever back in Austin, I'll be looking to stay with her again.
