Interaction with Guests
Most bookings me and my girlfriend Hailey are present at the house and available to help you get oriented with the city, get you tickets to the Art Gallery, recommend restaurants and so on.
Closest subway stop is St Patrick, about 10 mins walk away.
- Dundas and Beverley, 2 mins walk away. East-west line.
- Spadina and Dundas, 5 mins walk away. North-south line.
- Queen and Beverley, 5 mins walk away. East-west line.
Getting here from Pearson Airport, there are at least 2 options:
1) TTC Bus #192 is easy to find. It is at terminal 3. You will see prominent signs. It is the cheapest way to get downtown at $3.
This TTC (Toronto transit commission) bus will take you to Kipling station where you will transfer to the subway. Take the subway to Spadina station and transfer southbound. Get off at St. Patrick station and walk west along Dundas Street until you reach Beverley. Turn left (south) and walk to Grange Ave. Turn right. The walk from the subway is very safe. You will pass a police station on Dundas.
2) Taxi. It's customary to negotiate a flat rate of $50 to get right to my door.
The subway does not run between 1:30am and 6am.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, tidy and super cozy! The location was amazing--we enjoyed exploring several different neighborhoods all walkable from the house. Ilia and Haley were such great hosts! High recommended.
This was my first experience travelling with Airbnb, and one I thoroughly enjoyed. Ilia and Hailey made me feel very welcome (even the cat adopted me instantly :)). The room is as lovely and comfortable as it appears in the photo, and the house itself ticked all my boxes for comfort and location. Ilia and Hailey also provided much useful information alongside maps and an umbrella, and even helped me out on the first morning beyond any call of duty. The breakfast was truly yummy - loved the organic cereals, the variety of fruit, and different types of tea available. I'd commend both hosts for their warmth and thoughtfulness!
Ilia is a really nice host. Everything about the place is exactly like he described in the offer - even better. The neighborhood is perfect for walking to the nicest spots of Toronto. We spent a great time together.
Our stay was great: Ilia and Hayley are very nice and caring hosts. They give you great tips and advice about the city and make very good breakfast which always makes for a better day! The house is perfectly located (10 min from downtown Toronto), warm, clean and very cozy. The room is on the 2nd floor (as well as the bathroom) so you can also have privacy. Overall a great experience!
This was the first time I used Airbnb and I was very pleased. Great hosts, felt like at home. My train arrived late and instead of letting me look for a late-night snack, they offered me a light supper. The breakfast was great, organic breads, and fruits, smoothie, eggs, very nourishing. The room is big, as well as the bathroom. The cat is friendly just like the hosts. Great location, walking distance to major downtown attractions, right across the street from AGO. Both Ilia and his girlfriend are very warm and welcoming, and very interesting people. I will surely visit again, and I recommend it heartily. Thank you for all your kindness!
I felt warmly welcomed and was richly informed about the neighbourhood and nearby resources. The house is well supplied with books (made me feel at home) and has a cat who was an instant friend. Breakfast was casual and simple (quite to my liking).
The immediate neighbourhood features older homes which are well maintained with tidy small street-side front areas. I came by taxi from the train station, Union Station, (a $10 fare)
There are many ethnic food restaurants, a short walk away on Baldwin Street. I had a satisfying evening meal at Bocca on Baldwin , a friendly Italian bistro. Good food (fettucine pescatore) and a lovely house red wine (sangiovese); prices were modest and service prompt.
An inexpensive cultural experience can be obtained by simply walking in any of nearby neighbourhoods: Chinatown, Kensington Market and the Discovery District. The Art Gallery of Ontario and the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD University) are both nearby and feature visual delights even for the passerby (novel building shapes, outdoor sculpture). Of course, the connoisseur will wish to enter these cultural jewels and feast on the interior riches.
