A nice private house at the second floor with elevator, in a elegant building, Silvia's house is located at the feet of Accademia Bridge in the heart of Venice, 5 minutes walking far from Zattere, Peggy Guggenheim Museum and Punta della Dogana. The house has a kitchen completely furnished (dishwasher too), a bathroom with shower, two rooms:one with a double bed and one with a french size bed (single bed and a half). The lightly living room overlooks a beautiful garden and a canal at the bottom.

Exceptional compliment to a truly great city - a home away from home.
Great building + sense of arrival.
Beautiful internal fit out - real soul.
Silvia, the property owner, is an artist and it shows in her wonderful, comfortable Venice apartment. We've visited the city several times and enjoy the location--the Dorsoduro, convenient to the Academia bridge which leads to San Marco etc., but not so busy and noisy. There's a nice spot practically next door to get coffee and pastries in the morning and throughout the day. The bed is comfortable. The amenities---sound system, etc.--are great. A great spot.
Location, location, location. It's perfect at Casa Accademia! It made seeing all the areas of Venezia easy. It was a cozy and lived-in- feeling apartment with a very small bath and shower - but it worked for three of us. A word of caution though: be sure to take mosquito protection with you. Since there's no air conditioning, you will need to leave the windows open at night and the mosquitoes were fierce. Yes, there's mosquito netting in each bedroom but it didn't keep them out. If you're prepared, it shouldn't be a problem. And there's a great little neighborhood bar a few doors away that's perfect for the best coffee/espresso and breakfast sandwiches.
very nice place, cosy, clean, well equipped, centrally located but calm. thank you silvia !
Fantastic location on a quiet street in Venice, but close to two vaporetto stops, a super market, a cafe, museums, and the Accademia Bridge. The apartment itself is very lived-in -- it really feels like you are staying in a friend's home. I was traveling with my two teenaged daughters and we had plenty of room. We were met by a friend of the host right on time at our vaporetto stop and she showed us around the apartment. Aside from a very small shower that ran hot then cold then hot, my only issue is that there was very little personal interaction with our host or her friend for recommendations or advice. She was out of town -- and very responsive by phone when we couldn't figure out how to turn on the hot water -- but we were really on our own when it came to exploring the town. In the end, that turned out to be no problem, and we had a fantastic visit, but it took us some time to get oriented and we really could have used advice on restaurants.
Wonderful place, stylish, big rooms, good communication during our stay and great location. Felt like I was staying at a friends place.
My mum and I had a wonderful time in Venice and we believe we enjoyed it more due to the location and convenience of this beautiful apartment. Surrounded by great places to eat and in a great neighbourhood it was a perfect start to our Italian break. We wouldn't have wanted the weather to get any hotter though as the lack of AC does takes it toll, although a fan is available.
This was a very central and convenient location for us...for anybody for that matter, just steps away from both Zattere and Accademia stations for easy of transportation when wanting to take the water taxi. The space was great, more than large enough for the two of us with an extra bedroom for unloading our luggage. The apartment was initially a bit cold as we couldn't figure out how to turn up the heat, but after a bit of fiddling with the gas boiler we were able to get the place warm enough for the cold mornings. Silvia was very responsive via email even while she was out of town - she even asked her neighbour to assist us.
Venice is definitely a place to visit and can be done in 2 - 3 days on just the mainland - we didn't go over to the other islands on this trip. Be wary of the high flooding times in this city as you may need your rain boots.
Ciao and enjoy your stay!
Fantastic host...great position will stay again
As a landlord myself, I can say this experience was absolutely wonderful. My friend and I were met right after getting off the water taxi, taken to the BEAUTIFUL apartment. Beautifully furnished, clean, quiet, and zen-like. I would highly recommend this to anybody traveling to Venice.
Would ABSOLUTELY rent again.
