A nice private house at the second floor with elevator, in a elegant building, Silvia's house is located at the feet of Accademia Bridge in the heart of Venice, 5 minutes walking far from Zattere, Peggy Guggenheim Museum and Punta della Dogana. The house has a kitchen completely furnished (dishwasher too), a bathroom with shower, two rooms:one with a double bed and one with a french size bed (single bed and a half). The lightly living room overlooks a beautiful garden and a canal at the bottom.

Silvia's friend saw us into the apartment - there were absolutely no problems. The flat couldn't be more beautifully located, just a short stroll away from the canal and from the city centre and art museums. At the same time it's amazingly quiet and faces a street rarely ventured into by tourists. We loved everything about our stay here and plan to come back soon!
We loved Sylvia's place! It is big enough to accommodate 3 or 4 people, very clean, and we liked how it was decorated. It's also very conveniently located near the Accademia bridge, but on a quiet street. Check in was easy as Sylvia's friend Anna was there to greet us when we got off the water bus. Highly recommended.
We were Airbnb virgins, as such we are greatly encouraged that despite the present terrible things happening in the world, that there are people willing to let complete strangers stay in their home and be so trusting. So thank you Silvia!
The location is perfect. It is quiet (once the children have finished their football game in the street!) , and yet easy to walk to all attractions. There are many small bars and restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk, and useful Vaporreto stops minutes away. The flat itself is well equipped, as if the owner had just stepped out. Some space has been left for clothes etc, and we used the smaller bedroom as a 'dressing'room, there is no real storage or hanging in the main bedroom. We like sleeping with the windows open so we were very grateful for the mosquito net. There is no street noise at night atall. There was also a fan if needed. Much nicer than A/C we think. There is a small library of Art books, as well as many Venice guides/maps etc.
The kitchen was small but fine, even if you wanted to cook a full meal. Cleaning materials etc all provided.
The bathroom was OK. Plenty of hot water in the shower, however I do not get on well with shower curtains.
Our flight in was delayed ( massive thunder storm) so we were much later to meet Anna, the owner's friend, than we had planned. This was not a problem though, a quick phone call and she was there. She helped us w our bags, described how things worked and was very friendly. Check out was similarly easy.
Just a note re transfer from the airport. We used the Blu Alilunga boat. This is very straightforward but takes an hour and three quarters, and the seats too low to see out properly. You are stuck inside with a storm outside and a bit scary. In retrospect we would use the bus and get a vaporetto from P. Roma, a bit more hassly but quicker and cheaper. If I were rich a water taxi would be great.
The apartment is central and convenient in Dorsoduro and we were welcomed and escorted from the vaporetto station to the front door and then up into the apartment.
For a two bedroom apartment (there were three of us staying), it is quite small with limited space for suitcases. It is decorated in an interesting style though we thought it was becoming somewhat cluttered and a bit dusty.
Everything except the washing machine worked and in general we enjoyed our short stay.
We stayed at Silvia's place for four nights, she and Anna made us feel so at home! The room is newly furnished and really comfortable, will definitely be back in the future!
Thank you so much!
