  • K.T. was the most welcoming and helpful host. She made my first airbnb experience a delight. I really enjoyed her beautifully decorated home and her hospitality. Thank you!

  • KT is an exceptionally good host and her house is lovely. She checked in regularly and provided me with company, but also gave me space. She left a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, bread, juice, and jam out each morning. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, the shower hot, the water purified.

Her house is about 10 minutes from the closest business neighborhoods and 15-20 minutes from the main square. It's uphill a bit. The walk was nice for me.

I'd love to stay again. Thank you!

She truly enjoys making sure every host gets and amazing experience while they stay in Oaxaca. Not only does her place continues to be an art and crafts eden to the eye, but also her warmth makes you feel at home and relaxed.
She is the best! I'm confident to say that anybody who comes along will always have an enhanced experience of beautiful Oaxaca.

  • KT is just such a wonderful host. This is the second time I stay with her because I just can't think of a better place to stay at in Oaxaca. She's a delightful company and a very knowledgable person to talk to about what this magical town has to offer. Her house is always a welcoming environment and a delicious place to stay.

  • We had a terrific time at K.T.'s place on our first trip to Oaxaca and Mexico. In a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes' walk from the historic center of town, it's the perfect retreat from a busy day of sightseeing in this endlessly fascinating and colorful city. Beginning with a warm welcome and continuing right through our check-out, K.T. was a continually friendly and attentive host who shared our excitement in Oaxaca, made many excellent recommendations for food and activities, and even invited us to join her at a cultural event on our first night in town. Her house was colorful and inviting, with local art on the walls, a comfortable bed and bath, and welcome coffee and refreshments in the morning. We feel like we have a real home in Oaxaca and can't wait for our next trip! We especially recommend this home to first-time visitors to Mexico/Oaxaca.

  • KT is just a marvelous host! She is the most thought full person I have met. She is always looking for each and every detail to give the best experience possible to her hosts in this magic town Oaxaca. The energy in her house is great and she likes to give the credit to her visitors; but I'm more convinced that it's her, she irradiates positive and beautiful light.
The house was super clean and the rooms are gorgeous. It is very close to Santo Domingo which is right next to the touristic corridor and many other places to visit.
I have been several times to Oaxaca previously and already know a lot of places; yet KT puts a list together for you of things to do and places to dine of all sorts, I still managed to encounter new experiences because of her advice and suggestions. She is also always willing to help you out in any possible way she can. There is no way my stay in other place in Oaxaca would have been as wonderful and joyful as it was at KT's home!

Whenever I come back it will have to be a stay at KT"s and no other place.

  • The room was FANTASTIC and precisely how it looked in the pictures. K.T. and her adorable dog gave us a warm heartfelt welcome and immediately offered suggestions to make our time in Oaxaca as enjoyable and carefree as possible. She even went as far as to suggest a wonderful tour guide who took us to some really amazing sites outside of the city. The location of K.T.'s home was perfect for us as it was not exactly in the heart in the city, but not too far where the walk was uncomfortable or tiresome. Overall just a great time and I would definately reccomend K.T. to anyone.

About
I moved to Oaxaca from New York City in the winter of 2006 because a friend told me if I lived in Oaxaca, I’d never be bored---and was she ever right! Art openings, dance classes, film festivals, concerts, lunches and outings with friends to small towns in the mountains, or breathtaking pine forests, classes given and classes taken and the day to day things that make house holding a full-time job keep me happy and busy—and never, ever bored. The Oaxaca I love is beautiful, safe and a treat for all five senses. I never leave the house without discovering something I’ve never seen before, so I encourage friends to come and discover the Oaxaca that makes them as happy as my Oaxaca makes me.
