About this listing
I'm offering up a master bedroom with a queen-sized Ikea Sultan bed with a futon-style mattress and two closets. I have a beautiful Sears kit home in the middle of Lyndhurst. It was one of the first houses on the block and was built by one of the founders of the city. It is five minutes away (by car) from Progressive Insurance, seven minutes from I-271, ten minutes from I-90 15 minutes from Little Italy and has easy street access to any of the the eastern suburbs.
I'm within three blocks of the Richmond mall, a supermarket, Mexican and Indian restaurants, banks, FedEx/Kinko's, a library, dry cleaners and a few salons.
There's a giant back yard, garage parking, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, a library, a spacious basement and a laundry room. In the summer I have a two porches, a picnic area, several grills and a fire pit. Secure wireless internet, laundry, etc.
On weekends I often cook breakfast for everyone, and I make frequent trips to Amish Country on Saturdays. If you're around, you're welcome to join me!

While I am not a friend of Dorothy, I'm a friend of her friends. No discrimination.
On weekdays through June, one of my other rooms is rented to a consultant; he is very quiet and, when he is home, he is usually asleep. He is only in a few nights a week. Starting in July, I will have a full-time roommate in that room, but he will also almost never be home.
Oh, and seriously. Dogs welcome. I love them.
General house rules - clean up after yourself, no savage weeknight partying, lock the doors, etc. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible.
This was my first Airbnb stay and I was slightly nervous leading up to the stay. Andrew's kind spirit helped ease my anxiousness. Andrew was an amazing host and made me feel right at home! The neighborhood was nice and the room was extremely clean.
Andrew was a great host, very welcoming. The room was as advertised, very clean. Would stay there again .
Andrew was super responsive and helped me out on short notice when I was in a pickle and laid up in Cleveland due to too many storms on my cross-country motorcycle trip. Andrew was an excellent host who was happy to chat a bit and also gave some appreciated insight on places to eat in the area. Nice place, clean, and a relaxing home.
My husband and I are on a road trip and just needed a place to stay between Philadelphia and Detroit - we certainly weren't expecting one of our favorite nights of the trip thus far. We ended up spending the evening around the table with Andrew, who shared his dinner, stories, and impressive collection of rum with us. His house is beautiful and very clean, and the neighborhood was perfect for a long post-drive walk. If you have time, go to nearby Mesopotamia and take Andrew's advice re: where to go!
Andrew was very welcoming and went out of his way to make us feel at home. The room was very clean and comfortable. He was very flexible/accommodating about check-in and check-out.
I just want to say that Andrew is the best. I mean literally the best. Andrew made us feel as like at home. He gave us all the answers that we need to know. House is clean, calm, nice. Special thanks to "Pop corn!!"
We had the best experience at Andrew's....he was very hospitable and his home was wonderful! Our little dog Fly loved the huge backyard!

About the Host, Andrew
I do a lot of stuff, but my favorite things to do are read and write and travel and have adventures. On any given night I'm writing, running errands, swimming, sailing, break dancing, taking care of my vegetable garden, sailing, cooking, ballroom dancing (tango, salsa and swing), organizing parties, training, cooking or reading. I also like Amish stuff and dogs.
