We were greeting with fresh juice on the porch where breakfast is served each morning which overlooks the city of Olinda and the Ocean. Our second floor room had a delightful breeze off the ocean that made air conditioning unnecessary and had the most spectacular view. It felt like we had our own little house. We also were able to stay in first floor room for part of our trip which had a porch, a view, and the ability to sleep with the doors open to the outside. The rooms were immaculately clean with great bathrooms. Breakfasts were hearty and had fruit, rolls, fresh juices, and local foods that were delicious. Our hosts worked hard to personalize breakfast to our tastes and introduced us to new flavors. The Airbnb is in a perfect location to walk to everything in Olinda, with a short walk to the bus if you want to head to Recife or other areas. Sebastian and Yolanda really made our stay special. They were always ready to give advice about sightseeing ideas, which bus to take, and what to do...plus, they were simply some of the nicest people I've met. Even after 9 days, it did not get old.
Perfect place to stay in Olinda - I definately recommend Sebastians place! The room upstairs is very nice with a great view of Recife and the ocean. Everything was clean and well prepared for our stay. Breakfast in the morning was the best we had so far in Brazil - selfmade and very delicious! Sebastian is very welcoming and also speaks english and german. He helped us a lot to discover Olinda and also the rest of Brazil. It was a pleassure to meet him, listen to his music, talk to him and stay in this lovely place.
Sebastian and his family are so incredibly welcoming, a wonderful experience that makes this magical little town even better! Fresh juice upon arrival, always asking if we felt at home ... and we did! The room itself was stunning, with sunset views over the city on one side and blue skies stretching to the sea on the other. And breakfast on the terrace with mangoes dangling and acerola fruit ripening below was astoundingly delicious. The only bad part? We didn't stay longer. We felt so at home and can't wait to come back some day. :)
We had a wonderful stay with Sebastian and Yolanda. The space is airy and comfortable with a patio facing the city below. The breakfast is the best and our hosts made us feel like family. Sebastian is a accomplished Cello player and I had a great time talking and learning about music from him.
Sebastian and Yolanda, thanks for the experience and all your suggestions that made our stay a memorable one!
