About This Listing
Panama's Paradise Saigoncito 7 & 8 is a nice apartment to share with others. The cabana is spacious and has a great outdoor livingroom on the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped and the rooms are cute and the beds comfortable. And a FREE bike!
On the main Island of the archipelago Bocas del Toro, named Isla Colon, you'll find the Caribbean Cabanas Saigoncito`s. Saigoncito`s exists out of 10 rooms, divided into rooms, apartments and cabanas. All are situated on a small property, surrounded by lots of green and one cabana right next to the other.
The Caribbean cabanas are located in a small and friendly neighborhood, called Saigon. Quiet but meantime very lively and Caribbean! The population is a healthy mix of local people, expats and tourists. The Beach at la Cabana is around the corner and you're just a five minutes bike-ride away from Bocas Town. Bicycles are the way of transportation on the Island. You use them to explore the Island and the nearby beaches, to do your daily shopping, go on tours and out at night! For your comfort, and to make the experience completely local, bikes from Bocas Bicis are included with your stay.
Saigoncito`s Caribbean Cabanas are built in the Caribbean, colonial style that is widely seen in Bocas. The wooden cabanas stand on stilts, are colorfully painted and have spacious verandas with hammocks. The cabanas are surrounded by lots of trees and tropical plants. Fairly hidden in your hammock you'll enjoy the numerous visits of the hummingbirds to the garden while some local chicken are wandering around.
The cabanas are fully furnished and nicely decorated. Inside the cabanas you will find all the luxuries that you're familiar with at home: Wireless internet, satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen, semi- orthopedic mattresses, security boxes, ceiling vans and warm water showers. If you want to know what life is like in Panama's Paradise, come to Saigoncito and find out!
Saigoncito 7 and 8 is a complete cabana with two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have double beds and Satellite TV. There`s a living area with a dining table and comfortable chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are balconies on both sides of the house. The living area has an extra single bed in it. This cabana sleeps up to five persons.
Saigoncito 7 is located right behind Saigoncito 4, 5 and 6. And shares the front porch with apartment Saigoncito 9 & 10.
Jenny's place is a perfect stay in Boca. Far enough from the party but a short distance to town. The cabins are cute, rustic, and clean. Her staff is friendly and helpful. The bikes are an added pleasure - it's loads of fun to cycle around the island. There are also friendly cats that welcome you. I would highly recommend staying with Jenny.
We were a group of 4 friends traveling together. We booked 3 rooms and were so pleasantly surprised to find this sweet, private place away from all of the action but an easy 5 minute bike ride to all the stores and restaurants. The Cabinas were incredibly comfortable and we ended up spending a lot of time hanging out there and on the spacious verandas. We liked it so much that we ended up extending our stay an additional two nights.
Jenny was the perfect hostess. She is very helpful and always there when you need her.The property of Jenny is very nice. You have everthing you need. Its clean and it comes every day the cleaning lady who brings fresh towels and emptied the tash. The bikes that Jenny has given us in time were the high light. We were always mobile and had every day a little workout. Thanks for everthing Jenny.
Stayed here traveling with a friend for three nights. Located a little removed from town but closer to the better beaches which are farther up the island. Also farther away from the party scene. Area felt safe as well. Bikes are included which is a big plus and the kitchen was helpful when wanting to eat in for a meal.
Accommodations are basic but pretty much what you would expect and it was a nice alternative to a hotel or hostel. The room was cleaned every day and Jenny and her staff were very helpful.
Bathroom was functional but pretty small with common Central American challenges. Set in a jungle setting with big bugs and beautiful birds. Beds were pretty firm but mosquito nets were really helpful.
Lovely place in Bocas. We stayed with our 3 kids ( 5,8 10) years and really enjoyed it! Jenny gave our oldest 2 bikes as well, so we could bike around tbe island :-D The little cabana ( 7 and 8) is nice for a family, the kitchen is well equiped and gives you the flexibility to prepare something to eat. The cabana is really clean, the friendly staff changes towels every day. It is a traditional cabana though, where small animals can come. Electricity is installed on a caribean way. We did not have insects though! Our kids loved to watch the birds ( kolobrie) eat from the banana trees. We loved it and there are plenty activities around to do with your kids as well!
This place is so cute! Lots of space, clean, Jenny is very nice and helpful. Also the free bikes are a huge plus! Made it so easy to get around the island. Definitely recommend this place to anyone spending one or a few nights in Bocas.
We arrived on a water taxi into the main Bocas town. A taxi ride costing one dollar a person took us straight to this place which ended up being about a five minute bicycle ride back into the main town. One of the benefits of this place is having bicycles available for free. This is the easy transportation for the island. A nice touch is a free welcome drink when we arrived including beer, Coke, juice. The cabanas were all very closely set in a very lush tropical setting. This made for very tight sidewalks, but overall the cabana were very nicely decorated.
The only drawback was that none of the cabana were air-conditioned. This was okay at night because of all of the portable fans available, but during the day they heated up to be very uncomfortable. Overall, this is part of island life and was very minimal in the overall experience.
Also for a small fee of four dollars we had our clothes washed and folded.
