Interaction with Guests
As much or as little interaction as you'd like. I have some guests I've never met just because our schedules didn't allow it. Other guests will visit and hang out with me on the back porch. If you're travelling solo - I'm always game to join you for drinks or dinner (we'll go dutch of course!) So really, it's totally up to the guest if they want company or not.
A few blocks away from the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority aka KCATA regular and MAX bus line stops/routes. Plenty of inexpensive taxis too.
No smoking of any kind - in or around property.
This is an older house (built in 1916) and although renovated, it still has squeeks and creaks so please step lightly - especially if you're coming/going very early in the morning or super late at night. Thank you!
No additional overnight guests without approval and additional guest fee.
Our stay was perfect. The little tree house was the most clean stay I have had with airbnb and the host was very accommodating. Thanks again.
Linda was great and very accommodating, Her Studio apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our one night getaway to KC. I would stay again if I was ever in the area...not to far from Westport or the Plaza.
My boyfriend and I had a great weekend in KC. We arrived a little late in the evening when Linda wasn't home and left early in the morning to fit everything that we wanted to do in one day, but Linda was still prompt at answering messages as well as answering her phone. The location of the house was PERFECT for all that we wanted to do (Plaza, museums, Westport) so we loved that! The stairs are a little steep and so my fear of heights scared me a bit, but the loft was so cozy and cute. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated that there were multiple outlets to plug up all of our devices as well as lots of sun light. Overall it was a really great experience!
What a great experience! I was traveling for a business conference and found this lovely apartment. Great (email hidden)eat host. Linda was very helpful with my arrival, she also understood when a fellow conference attendee needed to stay due the lateness of our days. I truly appreciated her hospitality.
Linda's tree house was a delight! The space was clean, well maintained, and all expected amenities were provided. Morning lighting was beautiful with the skylight and large tree-level windows - best way to wake up! There is a lot to do within walking distance and pretty much everything in KC is an inexpensive Uber ride away. Linda was very accommodating working with my schedule - thank you!
This experience was a mixed bag.
The location was great, a 9 minute walk to Westport neighborhood. Close to the bus line and B-Cycle which we used. And Linda was very nice. She actually picked me up after I got off the bus walking to the place. She was very kind and approachable and responsive to texts.
The house it was in, however was pretty old and poorly maintained. The gutters had not been cleaned in ages. Crumbling concrete steps.
The stairs to the apartment are the most dangerous I have ever used in an occupied structure. They are not legal ingress or egress by any stretch of the imagination. If I had had my kids, I would have been very frustrated. My wife and I were fine, but nervous. Its a very old staircase to the 3rd floor/Attic. Carrying a large suitcase was scary. Old wood and NO RAILING ON ONE SIDE. There is no building code that would allow this in the country, and this is one of the threats to Air BnB: Lack of safety oversight.
The bedding also was not great. Having thick extra blankets in an apartment is a reasonable expectation.
Again, Linda was great, but the place was not perfect. I wouldn't stay again.
Great apartment, great location and very accommodating host as she was there if I needed anything.
