This central Canal House apartment is my personal cosy & creative home & workspace. The house is situated in the '9 Streets area' over two floors and offers all the comfort and equipment you wish to come home to after a day or night around town.

The space

I am looking forward to invite you to my cosy, creative apartment situated in the heart of the famous shopping-area 'The 9 Streets'. The apartment has two floors: you will enter from the Canal on the main floor where you will find the Living Room with a vide/mezzanine where the two-persons bed is situated. (The stairs to the vide is very solid and has wide steps). Here you will wake up to a beautiful Canal view. The work desk underneath the vide/mezzanine gives space for two people. The long comfortable 4-seater couch can host another guest. (Bedding for the 3-rd person is available on request). From the Living you go down to the cosy kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, fridge and dishwasher. The kitchen table and benches can and invites you to host a dinner for 6! The spacious bathroom contains a shower, sink and toilet. From the kitchen you again have a view on and excess to the Canal. This small but cosy and central apartment has a creative mapping, and offers all the comfort you like to find coming back home from browsing the city, the nearby shops & restaurants and let's not forget the main museums that are all within a 10 minute distance.

Guest access

You can excess (and leave) the apartment from both floors. Both are situated at the front of the house and take you straight onto the Canal.

Interaction with guests

I personally or my cleaner will always be available at your courtesy during your stay.

Other things to note

The central apartment is part of a total Canal House that has been divided in two separate apartments. You will only share the front door with the upstairs neighbour, the two rented floors are private and all yours!!

It's really simple to visit Amsterdam 'cause you can reach everything in a small amount of time, and Marjo's apartment is in a great position: close to the city center and in a fashionable and quiet area! She's has been very kind and the sophisticated style of the house reflects her personality. She sent us all the informations to reach her apartment from Central Station and once we met she gave us a lot of useful informations about the city and what to do there. In the house there was everything we need, but we were three adults and I think that the place is more suitable for two people.. because, like most of Amsterdam houses, is not that big! We had some problems with the stairs: they were steep! You had to be very careful when you go up and down but in a while you understand how to us them. The shower is not that practical too.. but except for these little problems the rest was really great! Thank you Marjo for your kindness!! You helped in making our time in Amsterdam great! Giulia

Perfect apartment for 2-3 people. Great location! Right on the Herengracht canal! Close to everything we wanted to see while in Amsterdam! 10 - 15 min walk to Dam Square, Anne Frank House, Red Light District. Restaurants and cafes all around the apartment, as well as the 9 streets shopping area. Marjo was a fantastic host, and was willing to help out with anything needed. I would definitely recommend the apartment if you are headed to the great city of Amsterdam!

We would give Marjo an extra star if we could! She was an amazing host–our flight arrived pretty late, after 11, and she said it would be no problem to meet us close to midnight to show us the apartment. Even though it was very late, Marjo was there waiting for us. She also left us things to eat and wine (both very much appreciated after a flight where we didn't really eat dinner), breakfast foods and coffee. Her apartment is in a beautiful and very central location right on a canal. It's a charming very narrow old house and staying there was the perfect way to experience Amsterdam. Thank you so much again!

Marjo was absolutely awesome and her place is impeccable. A classic Dutch apartment in a classic Amsterdam neighborhood. The location was delightful with amenities within walking distance in all directions. The only negative: the bathroom is 1.5 Dutch flights of stairs (read: steep stairs) below the sleeping area. Only an inconvenience if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
