The Aldcliffe Hut has been beautifully handmade with everything you need to enjoy your stay including a wood burning stove and a magical pull down bed.
The Hut offers the best of all worlds: it borders a nature reserve, is just 0.7 miles from Lancaster station, is a 10 minute walk from the historic city centre, with its many cafés and museums and a stone's throw from the Lancaster Canal where you can amble along taking in the wildlife, boats and pubs.
And that's just for starters...
The space
The Aldcliffe Hut is discreetly situated at the end of our family garden in its own private setting. You have on site parking and an EV charger is available. Check in is from 3pm and check out is by 10.30am.
The Hut has been finished to an exquisite standard and includes a shower room where you will find towels, shampoo and body wash. There is a perfectly formed and fully equipped kitchen area which includes a double induction hob and fridge (please note there is no oven or microwave but there is a barbecue!). The seating area gives you the opportunity to relax on the sofa or dine at the fold out table. After a busy day all you have to do is pull down the double bed which is ready and made for you to hop in and get a good night's sleep.
Outside you can enjoy a seating area with a fire pit and test your alfresco cooking skills with the charcoal barbecue.
The Hut is in an ideal location for some great days out either on foot in and around Lancaster or further a field. Windermere is a 40 minute train journey and from there you can explore the South Lakes or venture even further north. The beautiful Yorkshire Dales (including Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent) are only a 30 minute car journey away.
Guest access
The Hut shares the same ample driveway as our home. You will have your own parking space with access to the Hut on foot (about 30 metres) along a path running along one side of our garden.
Other things to note
Please do NOT smoke inside or outside the Hut (and no vaping inside the Hut).
Please note that The Hut is not suitable for young children.
There is no WiFi or television in the Hut.
We have a lovely labrador called George and a teckel called Stanley. Should you come across them, George may rush up to you at first, but he will very quickly flop down waiting to be tickled. Stan will want to play!
