You'll be in Wicker Park − one of the most energetic, funky and exciting neighborhoods in Chicago. In fact, just recently Wicker Park was named "#4 Hipster neighborhood in U.S." by Forbes Magazine.
Wicker Park is known for its art galleries, music venues, boutiques, and a variety of restaurants−Japanese, Thai, French, Italian, Indian, Greek, really good pizza, and even Peruvian and Jamaican are all represented. There's so much more, so if you're interested, please ask!
Conveniently located near everything, this neighborhood is an ideal base for exploring all of downtown Chicago's attractions. In fact, downtown Chicago is just an 8−minute ride on the CTA Blue Line train.

We enjoyed our stay. Maggie was very friendly and talkative. She gave us good dining advice. She allowed us to stop in before checkin time to say hello. We ended up staying and chatting with her. Made us feel like we were at home. The light breakfast worked out well for us. Parking in the area was tight so we appreciated the available private parking.
Maggie and Hampus went above and beyond to make my stay incredibly smooth, comfortable, and delightful. From their detailed directions from the airport to the sparkling water and grapes that awaited my impeccably decorated room. The photos don't to this beautiful space justice—it's even better in person!
Maggie and Hampus are both in hospitality and it shows in their attention to detail in the room. These items found in the room might give you an idea of how awesome they are:
-Mini frame with the wifi password
-Lap desk to work from the bed
-Yoga mat and exercise ball in the closet
-Coffee/tea maker in the room
-Binder with map of Wicker Park and other info
Anyways. Cannot recommend them highly enough. If you're not planning to go to Chicago, GO, just to meet them!
Astrid, Thank you so much for your lovely review and for taking the time to post it. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciate all of your kind words! We want our guests to have a pleasant stay so we strive to do our best to make that happen...and when our efforts are recognized, we are truly thankful!
It was a joy for us to host you and hope to see you again!
Maggie and Hampus were exceptional hosts. The neighborhood is safe and convenient to go by metro to downtown (we even walked to downtown in about 40 minutes) and their instructions on arriving from the airport were spot on.
Maggie and Hampus made our first Airbnb experience an unforgettable one! I mentioned to Maggie previously that it was my and my boyfriend's birthday trip, and she even got us balloons, a cupcake and a sweet message on the chalkboard! They even had a binder full of recommendations around the area which proved very helpful. The suite was located a couple blocks from the train, and a couple blocks from all the action. The place looks exactly as it does in the pictures and we would definitely come and stay here again!
Thank you so much, it was the best airbnb experience ever.
Hampus and Maggie are great persons. Your flat, your breakfast and your suggestions were great. You are one of the reason why Chicago is now one of our top ranked cities.
I would recommend it to anyone.
Thanks a lot and best regards
Our stay at Maggie and Hampus's suite was perfect! They were excellent hosts, and their suite was lovely. Their binder filled with detailed restaurant recommendations in the area allowed my friend and I to really get to know the neighborhood of Wicker Park, in addition to visiting the more touristy parts of Chicago. I would highly recommend both the suite and Maggie & Hampus as hosts for any couple or friends who would like to visit Chicago!
Maggie and Hampus have thought of everything, it's just like staying in a hotel!
