  • Hampus and Maggie were simply the best hosts.
Maggie was unfortunately gone for the weekend but we saw her when we first dropped off our luggage and she was extremely kind and helpful.
My friend and I stayed for 3 nights over the weekend and found our first experience in Chicago to be made fifty times better because of where we were staying. Hampus was incredibly welcoming and just a blast to chat with.
The neighbourhood was perfect to meander through and with such easy access to Chicago transit, everything was within reasonable travel distance.
I am so grateful to these guys and we are definitely staying there again when we visit the next time!
    Thanks again, you two!

  • This is a great space in a fun neighbourhood. We were not "home" much, and not there for very long, but it really hit the mark. Maggie and Hampus have created a very useful Wicker Park guidebook which we used- helping us high-grade the local eateries. Thanks for a great space! We loved our whirlwind days in Chicago.

  • We had a wonderful time staying with Hampus and Maggie. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. The private back entrance made it super convenient for us to come and go as we pleased. Hampus and Maggie were both lovely people, very kind and hospitable. They also provided some information about the neighborhood, and materials to use to make the most of our time in Chicago. It was our first Airbnb experience, and we loved it! Thanks so much!

  • Very nice place to stay in Chicago! Loved the private entrance, great bed, private bathroom, easy parking, very close to public transit, too. Would highly recommend for any Chicago visit!

  • Maggie and Hampus were wonderful hosts. This was both mine and my boyfriend's first airbnb experience and we could not have hoped for a better time. Excellent location, the room was clean and cozy and the private entrance ideal for easy entrance. Thanks to the guidebook Hampus and Maggie created we found incredible bars and restaurants in the area that we would not have known about otherwise. I highly recommend the Bedford and Violent Hour as well as Nandos (Italian food).

Above all else, Maggie and Hampus are really nice and I enjoyed chatting with them. They are both committed to making their guests have a great experience. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely book with them and I suggest the same to others!!

The suite was just perfect! One couldn't wish for a better accomodation!!!

Anyone visiting Chicago should try to stay at Hampus and Maggies'!

Thank you Alex! It was a pleasure hosting you guys! We hope you had a great time traveling around US! Come back anytime!

  • this was my very first airbnb experience and i must say, i had a real good time. the place if very comfortable, the room is very nice, the independent entrance makes it easy for you to get in/out without bothering the hosts, and the location is very good: wicker park is a cool neighborhood and the subway is 5 mins walking distance. hampus is a really nice guy, he gave me some useful tips to get around in the city, and we had some very pleasant chats over coffee in the morning. so overall, congrats to hampus&maggie: they're doing a great job. next time i pass by chicago i'll book again this room for sure.

It was an awesome experience to host you. You will always be welcome in our home!

  • Our stay at Hampus and Maggie's was also our first airbnb experience, and it was excellent! We were in Chicago during some of the coldest days of the winter in years, but our room was always warm and cozy. Great location, easy access parking spot (huge plus in Chicago), and a nice homemade guidebook of restaurants and such was very helpful. The private entrance was great as well.

  • Sometimes, I am skeptical of renting a private room, but this place was perfect for me. The bedroom has its own entry from the outside. The hosts are very organized.

    Response from Hampus And Maggie:

Thank you, Matt! Come back anytime!

  • Our stay at Hampus & Maggie's place was sheer loveliness! The room was spotless and in an utterly ideal location. They provided a list of recommended spots nearby which, as a first-timer to Chicago, was extremely helpful. Also, we were traveling by car with valuable instruments and vintage hats, so the off-street parking was a huge bonus. I hope to find myself in that city again, and when I do, Maggie & Hampus' place tops the list!
