Nestled among the redwoods of Cazadero, Elim Cottage is located in the oasis of Elim Grove, on the grounds of the award-winning Raymond's Bakery – the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Sonoma County.
We enjoy providing a warm, appetizing atmosphere in this undiscovered woodland paradise along tranquil Austin Creek, only 20 minutes from Guerneville, Russian River wineries, or the Pacific Ocean.
Creekside Cottage sleeps 2 in an crisp, light wood interior with stylish furnishings and a queen bed. It also features a cozy sitting room as well as a small garden view room with a daybed (with trundle), a propane wood stove, a microwave & fridge, and a private bathroom with shower.
The cottage is only a stone's throw from Austin Creek and a few minute walk up the creek to a swimming hole. Wake up to the bubbling of the creek, take a plunge, enjoy strolls along nearby trails, play bocce, relax under the gazebo and nap in the garden room or under the Gravenstein apple tree. Share a romantic evening in front of the propane wood stove or by the campfire.
Our bakery is open Friday through Sunday with local musicians playing on Friday evenings for our Community Pizza, Beer & Wine Night. We do close the bakery from early December through mid January to give our awesome staff a break for the holidays. However, the B&B is always open and breakfast is included for each morning of your stay. We bake fresh pastries and goodies every morning for our guests.
Please note that Creekside Cottage can sleep up to 4 people including the twin daybed with lower trundle. There is a $20 per night charge for each additional person beyond double occupancy. Children 4 and under are free.
For larger groups of up to 17 persons, book Elim Grove Cottage together with Gravenstein Cottage, Paradise Grove Cottage, Creekside Cottage and Baker's Loft - all located on the grounds near the bakery.
"We stayed a few nights with Mark and Elizabeth, and all I can say is they are the best hosts ever. . .Our daughter loved the little playground next to the bakery, it was also a plus that Mark offered a stroller which we forgot at home. Every morning a hot breakfast was provided and it was delicious!"

After a long work week, my husband and I embarked on a lovely two hour drive from San Francisco to the beautiful Elim Grove. Communication prior to arrival was excellent, and we were given detailed directions to the cabin- no GPS needed! Mark is a great and attentive communicator. We pulled up around 8pm and were surprised to find that Raymond's Bakery was hoppin'! There was live music going on (an adorable little folk group that played original songs as well as some covers that you can't help to sing along to), and the bar was packed! Elizabeth warmly greeted us and offered to buy us a round of beers. We were treated to more beers and pizza as we watched the music. After enjoying some of the best pizza OF ALL TIME, we found our way to the creekside cottage, which truly is just a stones throw away from a babbling creek. Charming doesn't even cut it- the property is beautiful. That evening we sat outside of the cottage and admired the stars. Living in SF, we rarely have the opportunity to see the sky unencumbered by city lights.
The rest of our weekend was very pleasant. Elim Grove really is an excellent place to explore- not just the property itself, but it's a short drive to both Guerneville (probably one of my favorite towns in all of California) and Jenner, where there is a gorgeous view of the coast.
Breakfast was delicious- fresh pastries are always such a treat.
Thanks Elizabeth and Mark for a great little getaway! Also, if you are interested in adopting us into your family, we're into it.
Perfect little getaway from San Francisco for my wife and I and our dog. Elizabeth gave us great suggestions for how to spend our stay and Mark greeted us with a delicious brownie and some cold IPAs when we arrived. Can't wait to come back!
We had a really wonderful stay! Mark was a great host, gave us the right amount of privacy but checked in and was available for questions etc. And breakfast was awesome - nothing feels more like vacation than warm pastries and coffee dropped off in the morning. Beautiful quiet spot on the Russian River... we'll be back!
What a wonderful experience! Mark is very attentive and quick to respond to inquiries and requests and greeted us warmly with some of his time and a tour with a history of the grounds, including the beautiful creek and thousand-year-old redwood trees. The cottage was cute and cozy and had everything we could have wanted, including coffeemaker/microwave, books, and candles. Delicious fresh-roasted coffee and still-warm, savory freshly-baked pastries and breads were part of the well-rounded continental breakfast delivered to our door in the morning. The property is very close to redwood hikes, great food, and the ocean. Thank you, Mark, for a fantastic weekend!
We has a great time in the little Creekside cottage. The cottage is charming and comfy. Mark is an amazing host, and breakfast at the bakery is a best as it can get!
Our stay at the Creekside Cottage was a one of a kind experience. Elizabeth and Mark are the most welcoming host we've ever had and they make you feel like you are part of their family.
We ended up staying at Gravenstein Cottage. The cottage was very comfy, clean and cozy. The unit had a flat TV, but we used our iPad to watch our fav tv show in Netflix. Wi-fi worked great. We had to turned the heat on as it was a little chilly (October). Everything worked just fine. We missed Friday night pizza and music as we arrived late on Friday, but continental breakfast in the morning was yummy and very complete. We got to try different breads baked by the host, Mark. Delicious! We took a couple home.
Mark & Elizabeth are wonderful hosts, very attentive. Their bakery, a short walk away from the cottages is a big plus!
We highly recommend this place, and look forward to returning in the summer!
We had a wonderful experience with our stay at the Gravenstein Cottage. We met the owner, Mark, who was warm, friendly and very hospitable. They make amazing fresh pastries and breads, which are provided for cottage guests in the morning. With a 2-year old, it was nice that there were toys in the cafe that she could play with while my husband and I enjoyed our breakfast. The cottage is not far from the ocean or the small town of Guerneville. I would recommend this place for couples or small families for a nice little getaway tucked away among the redwoods. It is also for those who appreciate the personal attention of friendly hosts.
We had an amazing stay at the Creekside cottage! Mark was an awesome host, warm and welcoming. The charming little cottage is clean and full of unique furnishings, and located only steps away from a wonderful little swimming hole. To top it all off, the bakery on the grounds makes some of the best baked goods I've ever had!
We arrived very late, but Mark and Elizabeth took the initiative and made accommodations for us. Fine location, lovely cottage, great breakfast, excellent hosts, reasonable price. Recommended.
