Clean, fully loaded apartment on the South Side of Williamsburg, complete with amazing views of the NYC Skyline, neon signs, a balcony, piano, central air-conditioning, a projector, gym, and more!

The space

My apartment is in the heart of Williamsburg – the food / art / hipster capital of Brooklyn. I used to be an Airbnb Superhost, and had dozens of groups stay on airbeds in my living room. These days, I open up my listing for the entire apartment when I travel.

THE APARTMENT – I live in a one bedroom apartment with a queen sized bed that comfortably sleeps two. I also have a self inflating air beds that can be set up in the living room, should you need space for additional guests (or want a change of scenery).

The apartment has a balcony, central air / heating, floor to ceiling windows, a washer & dryer, and hardwood floors. I also have a working piano, and video projector (movie time!), high speed FIOS internet, and both wired and wireless connections.

I'm a food person, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need to cook dinner for yourself, or cater a full scale event. ;) Plus, I've got a dishwasher, coffee grinder / maker, cast iron cookware, and every other gadget under the sun. But honestly, when you're in the best neighborhood for food, in the best city for food - who really wants to cook?

THE BUILDING
The building is a newer construction with elevators, a doorman, a bicycle room, a gym, and large roof deck that overlooks the Manhattan Skyline.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Williamsburg is home to some of Brooklyn's best restaurants, bars, art galleries, and people watching. We've got two killer butchers, an amazing cheese chop, and arguably the best burger in NYC. In fact, South Williamsburg (where I live) was recently voted top food neighborhood in all of NYC. There are also great music venues, breathtaking views of Manhattan, Smorgasburg, endless cafes, boutiques, and more.

TRANSPORTATION & ADDITIONAL AMENITIES
Need to get around? No problem:
• 300 feet to the Williamsburg bridge
• 4 blocks to the Marcy J & M trains to Manhattan
• 9 blocks to the G train that services Brooklyn
• 9 blocks to the Bedford L
• Easily serviced by cabs and car services.

FINALLY
While I'm traveling, one of my best friends will be looking after the apartment. He'll clean the place, be there to let you in, show you around, and can check in to make sure everything is A-OK!

Finally, this is our home. It's not an unoccupied demo apartment or a space we're trying to rent out to profit. So, you'll find photos of us on the walls and a pantry stocked with our favorite foods. We hope our tastes match up, and you enjoy our space while we're away.

Please message us with any questions, even if it doesn't fit in the visible calendar of availability.

Looking forward to meeting you!
Dan & Miko

Guest access

While traveling, I put my clothes in one closet in the dining room and keep it locked. Other than that, the apartment is yours!

Interaction with guests

Most commonly I list my apartment while I'm traveling. During those times, I'll appoint a friend to greet you and show you around. I also have an iPad which is filled with instructional videos about everything inside the apartment.

Other things to note

Since the last photos taken, my apartment has been updated a bit. I redid the office, and turned it into a dining room. Added newer and nicer seating to the living room, and just redid the bedroom. It's much more comfortable.

We had a wonderful and very relaxing week in Daniel's beautiful apartment! There was really nothing we could have asked for, everything was prepared for us, and daniel made sure to check in with us during the stay! He was also very flexible when we had a problem picking up the keys, altogether a great experience and I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a stress-free stay in brooklyn!

Daniel and Miko were incredible hosts; totally organised, very helpful, and genuinely nice people. Also, their flat is beautiful, well-equipped and ideally located. It's so great to stay somewhere that's not just an Ikea showroom, but has a comfortable "home" feel to it. And the view from the roof is incredible.

We had a great stay at Daniel and Miko's place. Their apt is as charming as it gets and literally the location could not be better, not kidding. Highlights include cowboy wallpaper, excellent record selection, amazing rooftop view, comfy bed, great tea, and the most charming welcome video you can imagine. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to meet Daniel or Miko when we arrived, but a friend of theirs let us in and set us up with no trouble. We could not recommend it more highly.

Daniel (and Miko) - all his photos, blurbs and reviews lived up to their expectations. It was great to meet our host when we arrived. The apartment was well-located and we enjoyed the aesthetics of the interior and the outlook! My regret is not having time to fully appreciate Dan's culinary recommendations, being a food follower myself. We enjoyed Williamsburg which reminded me of downtown Collingwood in Melbourne. Also the loan of a local iPhone was a stroke of generous genius! I look forward to my next visit to NYC!

Let me just say 'wow.' Dan & Miko's apartment, and their hospitality, exceeded my expectations! I was greeted by their friend Hunter who gave me an in-depth tour and was super nice. Before I left, I was already trying to book their place for my next stay in NYC. The apartment is spacious, clean, modern, filled with amazing light, and in the heart of the very best neighborhood in all of New York City (a major score for someone who loves to walk and eat good food as much as I do). The place was so welcoming and Dan & Miko even had a packet of info describing the area and all the stuff in their place (how to use the tv, dishwasher, wifi etc), which was really thoughtful. I can't say enough great things -- such a great experience.

This apartment was amazing, and so was daniel and his friends. We had a really rough ride in, missing trains and waiting for trains that weren't running that day and Matt (Daniel's friend that was waiting to give us the keys) was so understanding and had a beer waiting for both of us when we got there. Daniel had also prepared a little video tour of the apartment and all the things we might need for us to watch since he couldn't be there to greet us. The apartment is in a great spot relative to the train into manhattan. We also walked over the Williamsburg bridge to manhattan on day too. We were also close to lots of cool shops and delicious food. I Loved this place and definitely and didnt want to leave. I would recommend it and stay in it again. Oh and also the bath tub is amazing.

Hi There, I'm Dan! I'm in my 20's, live in Brooklyn, NY, and love food, travel, and food. :) Currently I own a BBQ restaurant in my neighborhood. Before that I traveled the country making videos about food.

A few years back I was an Airbnb Super Host, and had 60+ groups stay with me. Good memories.
