35 sqm studio in the heart of Old Town. Exposed brick and City Wall limestone. Hanseatic atmosphere, museums and plenty of galleries, cafes and restaurants to choose from are next door. Everything is easily accessible on foot.
- Very good location next to the Market Square
- Fully fitted kitchen equipped for 6
- Free wifi and cable TV
- Adjustable heating and heated shower floor
- Flexible check in and check out
Shower with local 150 litres electric water heater, washer, hair-dryer, iron, ironing board. Everything what is needed to stay, also linens and towels. Beds are new. Table, chairs, sofa and chest of drawers are vintage material with long history (what I can also tell you) - some tear signs and scratches but clean and authentic farmer and working class furniture.
With bed, sofa and two guest beds there can sleep up to five people. For younger travellers I can arrange a crib.
When something happens in Tallinn then it is only few minutes walk from the door. It can be Tallinn Music Week (TMW March 25.-29.2015), Old City Days (first week of June), Tallinn Maritime Days (second week of July) or Black Nights Film Festival (two last weeks in November).
When sending a request - please let me know preferred check in and check out time (even if an approximation) and let me know if you need anything special, like renting a bike or finding a sightseeing tour.
It is a small studio so everything is for guests.
Interaction with Guests
We (me, my family and my friends) will take you as our guests and friends and will give you the privacy you need, and be available when needed.
Less than 500 m to public transportation (street-car, bus, train - all the lines in Tallinn), restaurants, museums, cinemas and shopping. 7 min walk to Kalev SPA if you like swimming and sauna. Like jogging? - Green belt around Old Town is just 200 m from door for jogging or walking.
Fresh bagels can be bought in several neighbouring buildings. Superb modern Estonian, Italian, Russian kitchen are almost next door. If you are looking for anything special just let me know - I can help you to find a well hidden gems or any place for your interest. About shopping: 24h store is only 150 m away, supermarkets about 5 minutes (Selver, Rimi), shopping malls are within 10 minutes walking distance (Viru Keskus, Solaris).
Public transportation is within 5 minutes walk. Bus, tram, trolley, train. All the lines in Tallinn. You can arrive by car and do the loading for free. Long-time parking in Old Town is metered 24 hours. Me and my friends park our car 5-10 minutes walk away where parking is free. There are also several private parking grounds and houses nearby.
Best and most convenient to arrive from coach station, harbour or airport is by taxi. The fee from and to airport and coach station should be around 10 € (depending on the time and traffic), harbour is app 8 €. Pick Tulika Takso or slightly more expensive Tallink Takso. Ask for the receipt.
The harbour is 20 minutes walk. Train station is 550 meters away (about 6 minutes walk).
When coming by public transportation: From Airport you need to take bus nr 2.
and to the stop A.Laikmaa and then about 10 minutes walk. Coach station - tram nr 2 (direction Kopli) and 4 (direction Tondi) are both (website hidden) 2 is better. Step out of the tram: line 4 - stop "Viru"; line 2 - stop "Mere puiestee", "Linnahall" or "Balti Jaam", and then about 6 minutes walk.
You can find timetables (website hidden)/en (languages: ee en ru de lt lv )
For Taxi: I can suggest TULIKA (tel: (phone number hidden) or 1200) and Tallink (tel (phone number hidden) or 1921). Tallink is slightly more expensive than Tulika. Always ask for receipt.
Budget brand of Tallink is Takso24 and you can call no 1224.
Other Things to Note
Some of my guests have asked for a help to see more of Tallinn and Estonia than the Old Town.
I am happy to give you a short tour by car in Tallinn or take you out for a day trip to North or West Coast to my favourite places - hiking trails, historic places and restaurants. Just let me know what you are interested in and we can set the route and the budget.
Few easy rules to follow:
No smoking in the apartment.
Nordic house rule; we do not use outdoor shoes inside, please remove upon entering
Clean after yourself and keep place clean on your part. Please leave the apartment as clean as it was when you arrived.
Do not leave surfaces wet (bathroom, kitchen etc) - water damages are time-consuming and very expensive to repair.
For dust control there is a Samsung Navibot robotic vacuum-cleaner - help it by pushing the start button once in a while.
I'm very careful with my belongings, so I highly appreciate your respect and appreciation for other peoples belongings. When something breaks or gets dirty please inform me so I can take care of it before next guests arrive or let them now beforehand.
I have some emergency food in the cupboards. Feel free to use but please do no leave cupboards empty - 24h shop is just a minute away.
Also I like you to notice that this is old building, so it has thick walls but not so thick floors and ceilings - loud noise is heard to and from upstairs and downstairs.
Please don't use my WIFI for anything illegal.
Mi estancia alli fue maravillosa, el emplazamiento es inmejorable y el apartamento verdaderamente calido y acogedor. El propietario fue muy educado y agradable.
Es un alojamiento que os recomiendo a todos
The apartment is wonderfully situated in the heart of Old Tallinn. It has everything needed and is really fine. The bed is large and very confortable. The apartment is well heated even for cold weather.
Jürgen received us warmly and gave us all the tips we needed. An adress of high value.
The cleanest apartment I have stayed in so far! A great little pad to spend a couple of days in Tallinn. Jurgen was easy to contact and was there to greet us when we arrived and happy to give tips on what to see in Tallin. Highly recommended!
Jurgen was a very lovely, accommodating host with a very lovely, accommodating apartment which not only met but SURPASSED my wildest expectations. Heated tiles and close proximity to a depeche mode theme bar are a powerful combination. Thank you Jurgen, when we come back to Tallinn, we will be hitting you up! :):):)
This was our favorite flat out of a week long tour. Jurgen is a meticulous housekeeper and we loved the newly rehabbed space within a historical building. Highlights were the heated floors in the bathroom and the well-stocked, modern kitchen. The position of the apartment is ideal, right in the Old Town within walking distance to everything. We hired Jurgen as a tour guide to take us around to some of the sights outside the Old Town and felt lucky to see some places that were off the beaten path (the trendy warehouse district, radio tower and local neighborhoods). Jurgen was very helpful with coordinating check in and check out and we enjoyed getting a local's perspective on Estonia and the Estonian people. Highly recommend!
The flat was in an ideal location, very close to the centre of the old town and with excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk. It was very warm inside, just what you need when it is freezing outside. Jurgen was very friendly and welcoming despite having to hang around for us due to our plane being delayed for over an hour.
Jurgen was the perfect host, communicative, punctual and friendly.
The apartment is perfectly placed in the old town, a few minutes walk from the main square. The kitchen was very well stocked with various store cupboard staples, including cereals as opposed to the normal Airbnb basics of tea, coffee, sugar and salt.
Very well appointed studio apartment and is exactly as depicted in the photographs. The heated bathroom floor was very welcomed after a walking around in the minus 10 degree Estonian weather!
A very quirky addition was the robot Hoover, loved it!
Great value for money in a perfect spot, highly recommended, thanks!

I'm almost normal Estonian. Living in the city but spending weekends in the countryside. I am also a student and like most of Estonian students I am working full time. This time my major is IT management to support my work in Ministry of Social Affairs.
In addition to constant learning I love to travel and so does my wife Kristin. My daughter (10) and son (5) are too young to like school but they like to travel.
Me, my family and friends will take our guests as friends, give you the privacy you need and be available when you need advice about Estonia or Tallinn.
