Our apartment is located in the heart of Amsterdam's most popular and most comfortable neighborhood, De 'Pijp', and you would get the entire place solely for yourself/yourselves, rather than only a room.
It is a well-designed and modern apartment located within walking distance of the Museumplein (Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum) and the Albert Cuyp Market, as well as Rembrandtplein, the Opera House and the Sarphatipark, one of Amsterdam's most beautiful parks. The apartment is close to Amsterdam’s picturesque canal belt, while also being situated in the most popular neighborhood to live in, with the best bars and restaurants the city has to offer.

This place has everything you really want for your stay in Amsterdam : high-speed WiFi internet, MP3 stereo connections for the hi-fi sound system, washing machine, cable TV, a beautiful Italian espresso machine, a hairdryer and a city bike. Trust me, the bike is the way to explore this amazing city. The apartment complex, while superbly central, is relatively quiet and caters for a quiet and relaxing stay.
The apartment features a very modern and complete kitchen with refrigerator, microwave/oven, dishwasher, and modern 6 pit gas stovetop – it is a very comfortable kitchen to prepare any meal of the day in. There is also a large supermarket very close by, and of course, the famous Albert Cuyp market is within 500 meters.
The bedroom is charming and the bed is extremely large (2.0m x 1.80m), soft and comfortable. The apartment is very well lit by natural light (especially in the mornings) and while smoking inside is not permitted, there is a quaint balcony where you can be outside, hangout and enjoy the courtyard, the trees and smoke if you like. Do note that the apartment is on the 3rd floor so that means lots of light, but also 3 flights of stairs -- fortunately they are not extremely steep (unlike most Amsterdam apartments) and there are nice solid railings. A note is that the neighbors maintain and enjoy a quiet environment and thus maintaining quiet and care is highly appreciated in this sophisticated apartment.
The en suite bathroom has a unique and luxurious walk-in rain shower with a designer tub basin and tall mirror. There is also a very modern and comfortable (separate) rest room with hanging toilet. Clean sheets and towels are all included. You will have a 2012 Amsterdam guidebook at your disposal and I will be able to help with suggestions depending on what you like – as I will personally greet you and make sure that you can stay in touch with me throughout your stay. And further to this, my check in times are extremely flexible.
De Pijp, known as Amsterdam's Quartier Latin, situated in the southern part of Amsterdam and a short tram ride away from the hustle and bustle of central Amsterdam (take tram 16, 24 or 25 to and from Dam Square), is one of the most cosmopolitan and vibrant districts of Amsterdam. The inhabitants, the narrow streets, the many cafes and restaurants and the atmosphere of De Pijp are all reminiscent of the famous Parisian students' quarter. If this neighborhood appeals to you, and you want to stay in a modern but very comfortable and quiet apartment in the heart of De Pijp, this is the place to stay for you!
PLEASE NOTE : If you need to check in to the apartment after 9PM, this is possible, but there is an additional cost of 25 Euros.

The apartment was lovely - with such a big bed (important for a tall guy like me). I didn't meet Fred, but Tess was extremely helpful.
Everything was set out in a handy guide, with tips for the area and I even got a present to welcome me! :)
I had a great stay - would definitely recommend.
