Alessandro is a kind man for helping us to get to his house with details. But I'm regret that the house is so far so good.
Stayed at Alessandro's apartments for the four days I was in London. Room was fantastic and exactly what it looked like in the pictures. Met Alessandro the day after we arrived and he was extremely friendly and helpful. The only concern I had was that the bathroom was not in the room however this was not an issue at all! Did not even see the other guests on our floor and the bathroom was literally right next to our room. The location was excellent and a lot of great restaurants and pubs I the area too. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever in London!
Host was awesome: met my friend at the front door, showed her a map & places to go see, was available via text if we needed anything.
The location was great, two minutes from an underground stop. Absolutely silent, too; we slept with the window wide open every night. Beautiful, safe neighborhood.
The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed including an additional outlet converter, hairdryer, some snacks. Added bonus was having two toilets.
I would absolutely stay here again, thank you for the awesome stay!
Overall our stay at one of Alessandro's apartments was okay. The room was small, as expected. The kitchenette was well equipped and had everything you would need to cook. The bed was not comfortable and seemed small for two people. The shared washrooms were always clean, however the shower stall was quite small and with no shelf to leave your toiletries on whilst in the shower. The individual we shared our floor with also thought it appropriate to leave their toiletries on the sink stand and in the shower which resulted in less space when we were utilizing the bathroom facilities. We unfortunately arrived into London during an unlikely heat wave. Our room was on the 4th floor with zero air circulation and no fans. We were very uncomfortable for our first couple nights and barely slept as a result of this. We were forced to leave our window wide open throughout the day (with no screen) in hopes of keeping the room cooler. This made me a bit uncomfortable when heading out for the day but it was our only choice. Our room also backed onto the laundry facilities, therefore early in the morning it was very loud as a result of the housekeepers just outside the room. There were many doors everywhere which made our stay very loud as a result of people always coming in and out and the doors slamming.
All that being said, we loved the area the apartment is in. Conveniently located a short walk from Victoria station and the cute area of Pimlico, filled with some great restaurants. Although we didn't meet Alessandro, he was always prompt at replying to our messages, was very thorough with his responses and a pleasure to communicate with.
Alessandro's apartment is in a very convenient position surrounded by lovely architecture. However it is very small, it was also hot with no fan, and it is up 3 long flights of stairs, 62 stairs in total. Gaining access to the building was really easy but this is not for the faint hearted.
Great location, easy check in, everything was as described. Shared bathroom wasn't a problem at all. Would stay here again.
