Watch the sun set over the lagoon from thirty floors up & sleep in a super king size bed while the lights of Doha twinkle quietly below. Outdoor Swimming pool and indoor gym included. Shops, a supermarket and restaurants less than 100m walk away.
Zigzag towers. Floor to ceiling windows. Outdoor swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi, steam room. And sunset views every night.
Come and stay in a beautifully furnished flat on the 30th floor overlooking the lagoon (where you can go running along the beach or take a canoe) and the golf course.
It is easily accessible with several disabled people choosing these towers as their home.
Flat above a fully equipped mall with Carrefour, Apple, Sony etc. I roll my shopping direct from the supermarket into my home.
Small dogs and children welcome, smokers are not.
There is a desk, lots of empty cupboards for you and a fully working internet. Satellite TV and a kitchen equipped by a girl who loves cooking. You'll be staying with a journalist who likes to cook, eat, drink and run around like a headless chicken setting up her new business. I am never home. There is also a playground just outside for visiting kids.
Everything apart from my bedroom.
Interaction with Guests
I am out....a lot. Or working. So if I do see you it will be rare but lovely.
It is so darn practical. Restaurants and a supermarket on my doorstep. A pool on the third floor.
There is no public transport that really works in Qatar sadly. I recommend using Niyaz (phone number hidden) or Posh taxi (phone number hidden). And for short journeys Uber is really affordable. You can use the house phone to make these bookings.
Other Things to Note
I drink alcohol and eat pork. Not a lot, but they may be in the fridge while you stay. If you cannot be near alcohol or pork products then this may not be the place for you.
Common areas should be kept clean and tidy. Your bedroom is your business. Just please strip the bed at the end of your stay and put the sheets in the wash.
Please leave a shelf free in the fridge for my food at all times. And throw away all open food at the end of your stay.
And, if possible, please stick to just free range (not battery) eggs. Thank you so much.
Please do not leave food or rubbish open in the kitchen. The rubbish shoot is out the door to the left and left again before the lifts. The black bags are under the sink.
Rosie is really a great host, very helpful and friendly. The apartment is in an ideal location which in Doha means a lot.. the mall is basically within the building and west bay, the pearl are not far away, all which can be reached by a short drive. I highly recommend it, even if you are new to Doha or just returning. The apartment itself is spotless and really very pleasant to be in, definitively much better then being in a hotel.
Although I never met or saw rosie ( probably she's a myth ) but her apartment was real. You really feel way better then staying in hotel.
Excellent place - thank you so much. Clean, modern, quiet, good view, lovely swimming pool, 2 mins walk to shops and very well stocked supermarket. Kitchen had everything i needed. its bigger, brighter and airier than it looks in the photos.
Excellent communication prior to arrival to . Once again, thanks ever so much.
Rosie was an ideal host. The room and apartment were immaculately clean and there were fresh towels waiting. The area where the apartment is is ideal for a tourist or business travellers as it's close to the Pearl and very close to West Bay and the Diplomatic area.
Rosie was a great host. I have no complaints and I would definitely stay with her again.
Once again another fantastic stay with Rosie, and this time was even nicer because we were able to have a chat or two!
Even more comfort with the wonderful bed, and I simply have a good rest when I come stay especially as I'm working when I visit Doha. I find the location perfect, access to the supermarket in the mall downstairs is a bonus and overall I love my visit and stay.
I'll be back again next year. Thank you for having me.
I am a British journalist. I have worked at the BBC, was part of the start-up team for Al Jazeera English and left in 2011 to start my own production company here in Doha called Mediadante. I have also written an award winning book "How To Avoid Being Killed in a War Zone". I am busy - you will hardly see me. When you do I will likely be wearing sports gear as I love to be as active as possible.
