Interaction with guests
You will be met by our housekeeper or a neighbour. They will provide you with 1 set of 2 keys for the front door (one for each lock). If you have any questions you can reach us via the telephone.
The kitchen and bathrooms will be cleaned daily and the whole property at the end of the visit - this is included in the price.
Additional service available at 15/hour: if you would like your beds to be made, or some ironing to be done, please let us know and we will notify the housekeeper.
We love our house because of it's unique surroundings: we back on to the beautiful Barnsbury Wood (London's smallest nature reserve) with it's variety of native birds, which will be your first sight in the morning. If you have children, take them to the picturesque Thornhill Square, which has a lovely playground and is just around the corner.
Our street also has a family friendly and also very hip Cafe just 2 mns from our house (great for Sunday Brunch, as well as a Pub with live music).
You are a 15 minute walk from King's Cross and a 20 minute walk and tube ride from Soho. Islington's Upper Street, a 10 minute walk, has a great mix of boutiques, bars and restaurants.
Excellent public transport connections: Caledonian Road & Barnsbury London Overground Station (3 minute walk), Highbury and Islington Underground Station (10 minute walk: Victoria and East London Lines, London Overground & many buses), Caledonian Road Underground Station (Piccadilly Line), Angel Underground Station (15 minute walk: Northern Line & many buses).
Other things to note
The lower ground floor sofa bed does not have curtains.
The playroom/TV room is a shared room as the housekeeper lives in a bedroom in the lower ground floor and requires access to the small kitchen adjoining this room.
We are happy to support you with recommendations if you wish.
