Foris is a fantastic host who provides a brilliant experience. He puts in a lot of effort to make you as comfortable as possible and make the best of the trip. The apartment itself is very clean, spacious, well equipped and has a great balcony. The town centre is not far away and there is a supermarket and amazing bakery across the street. Foris also leaves behind nice little treats from his own farm which is highly appreciated. His communication was super fast and very clear, and he picked me up from the airport shuttle bus stop which was super appreciated! He was very welcoming and was more than happy to invite me to go to events with him. Unfortunately it never transpired because our timings didn't work out very well but still massively appreciate the effort.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying with Foris! The experience is fantastic and he puts in a lot of effort to make it as good as possible.
Foris met me at the airport with his fiancee Hara and made me feel very welcome - we had a drink all together the next night and we met his friends on my last night in a fantastic wine bar. I came to Nocosia and to Foris' flat to try to understand Cyprus and to write. I did both! Thanks to Foris I had good talks with him and friends. I used the large shaded terrace a lot for writing. There is good wifi. Nearby within 1 minute's walk there is a gas station, a family supermarket - does home cooked food 3 days a week, a 24 hour bakery, a pharmacy and a friendly restaurant opposite. The flat suited me very well. It is a 30 minute walk to the city centre - there are buses (126) but they are infrequent. It's 5-8 euros by taxi. Foris and his mum put free range eggs, cheese and conserve in the fridge. The flat had all I needed for a simple working stay.
Unfortunately we received the mail with the instructions to find/enter the house by mail while we hadn't internet. When we arrived an other person was waiting for us and explained some things. There was no warm water in the kitchen. It was a bit noisy night because of the single glass windows. Great to have a washing machine (with Greek words on it). My son has to sleep on the coach. Five persons who should fit in here but then it will give you camping feeling. For 3 persons it's okay. Our contact with Foris was only by mail (no reactions on our phone calls). There is no full board; only some things were lying in the fridge and freezer. When packages have been opened it isn't inviting to use them. Location was good.
When we arrived, the apartment had not been cleaned because the tenants before us had just left that morning. The apartment in general is quite nice, with everything available for cooking and so on. It is also quite nicely located, with only a 20 min walk to downtown and a gas station and supermarket right across the street. Nevertheless, be prepared to hear quite some traffic noise due to substandard window insulation. The price was rather expensive and probably at the higher end of listings in that category. Foris was quite attentive and offered his advice and help at any time.
Our staying in the flat was wonderful! Floris is a gentle and nice guy and the apartment is really cute! Recommanded!
