Vanessa's apartment was perfect for us! It was clean, spacious, relatively quiet and well worth the very reasonable price. The new appliances were nice to have handy.
Vanessa was great too. She was very welcoming and available when we needed her. My husband and I couldn't figure out how to use the coffee maker and Vanessa brought us the one from her home. My kids loved sleeping on the fold out couch and playing with coasters.
The place is semi-basement; it was great, and the experience was great. Everything has been thought of, I simply could not think of something that was not there - from clean towels to dishwashing detergent to knives and forks etc and other utensils. Freshly renovated, with new kitchen appliances and new furniture, and not a single sign of rust or dirt anywhere. The only downside is that it is sometimes noisy upstairs - could be a problem for a person who likes it quiet; was not for me though. All in all, great experience, would recommend to anyone!
The apartment was really nice, clean, and had a lot of kitchen equipment. It was on a street that seemed safe, and only about 15 minutes from most of the places someone would visit in Pittsburgh. The pull out couch was comfortable and the yogurt and granola Vanessa and Kevin leave for you for breakfast is such a sincere, nice touch!
I wasn't able to get to Pittsburgh until late but Vanessa was very flexible with the check in time. There was plenty of street parking when I got here and the neighborhood was nice. The place itself seems relatively new and was the perfect size for 1-2 people. I used the bus to get around the city and there was a stop right down the street from the house. Checking out was just as easy as checking in. I would probably stay there again if I return to the city, so I recommend it.
Staying in Vanessa's apartment was delightful! It was exactly what we hoped it would be. It was clean, the perfect size, and was located in the best part of town! If we ever pass through Pittaburgh again we would totally stay there a second time!
Vanessa and her husband were great hosts. The apartment is very large and the kitchen was very handy. We loved the granola and yogurt the had on hand and nice stock of shampoos, conditioners and lotions. Like us they have a wee one so it's early to bed and early to pitter patter around.
