Theresa and James Cogger welcome you to Les Petites Charmilles where you can enjoy comfortable friendly bed and breakfast accommodation in their traditional style house set in beautiful wooded grounds in the heart of the Dordogne countryside in south-west France .
All our four bedrooms (2 double, 2 twin) have their own shower & toilet and look over the gardens. B&B guests have their own entrance and lounge, free use of the swimming pool, BBQ, picnic areas, and a refrigerator. Free wifi internet connection.
Room 1 sleeps 3 people in 3 single beds or one double and one single.
Les Petites Charmilles is ideally situated near the famous medieval town of Sarlat and makes a pleasant centre for your holiday in this beautiful region. There is plenty to see and do during your holiday.
Close by are the valleys of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers with an abundance of historic châteaux, caves, prehistoric sites and pretty villages to visit. The area is great for an active holiday; walking, cycling on road and on trails (bring your own bike-we have secure storage), and horse riding. Hire a canoe on the river or go fishing (in season); tennis is available nearby, and there are golf courses 30 mins. drive away.
Of course you can also pass the day relaxing in the sun by our swimming pool or pass some time at a French café or dine in a restaurant
in the medieval town of Sarlat.
Please note that we are in a small village with one bar/restaurant but no other shops.. There is no bus service to the village, so an independent means of transport is essntial to enjoy the region. Sarlat, the nearest town is 10 minutes away by car.
Room 4 now has English television.

A NOTE ABOUT OUR PRICES;
The prices quoted are per room for two people for one night, including breakfast. if you want more than one room we might quote you a combined price for all the rooms, this is sometimes easier to do.
Tourist tax of 0,66€ per person (over 13 years) per night is included in the price.
We have self-catering studio and flat in Souillac. Check Airbnb site for more information.
Free self-service tea making facility in porch/terrace.
Lockable storage space for bikes.

As ex-diplomats we enjoy meeting people and will always find the time to give tips and advice if need be.

A very warm welcome as we arrived a bit early. We found the rural setting very restful and the local restaurant was within easy walking distance. Theresa and James are well travelled hosts and easy to share expériences with.
Super accueil,super situation (à 15 min de Sarlat) bon point pour viditer la Dordogne en gravitant aux alentours,nous y sommes resté 5 nuits et les hôtes sont très attentionnés,un petit frigo est pour l'usage des invités aidi qu'une petite terrasse avec table et chaise parfaite pour y faire un picnic,les petits dejeuners sont bons et copieux,croissants,pain baguette,confitures maison succulentes,jus d'orange,café et céréales et yaourt et fruits,un bon départ pour les journées de visite.l'endroit est calme en czmpagne avec du bon air frais et une piscine creusée bien entretenu nous permettait de nous détendre en fin de journée.comfort des lits ordinaire et bonne pression eau chaude dans salle de bain,tout très propre un bon rapport qualité prix.un endroit à recommandé aux amis.

About the Host, Theresa And James
James is from England, Theresa from India. We've been running our B&B in France for ten years. We love meeting people from all over the world.
We both enjoy photography. James is a keen cyclist and is a member of the Sarlat Cycling Club. Theresa loves gardening and water-colour painting and enjoys cooking Indian and English food. She also does Head & Shoulder massage therapy for stress relief and pain.
