We had an awesome experience at Alison's place. Everything was just like the pictures. Nice apartament. Great location. I'd recomend.
We really enjoyed the stay at Alison’s apartment. It is located in a secure street, near a Subway station, few blocks to Central Park and MET. Fully recomended
The location is excellent,2 minutes walk to subway. The bedding is comfortable.the apartment is not so clean and new as shown on pictures. The water heater didn't work sometimes . Communication is not in time.
Allison greeted us personally and showed us the place. The apartment was clean and well organized. Neighborhood was perfect for us and only a short one block walk from the subway. Very convenient. Easy to walk to Central Park too.
Alison was very reachable whenever I had a question, and we were promptly greeted and provided a tour of the home upon our arrival. The apartment was very clean and cozy, although the sofa seemed a bit worn down from previous use (as noted by others), but overall we really enjoyed the facilities, amenities and especially the location!
Even though the apartment itself is small, it's functional and has all that one may need, incl. fast wi-fi. It's not as new and clean, though, as shown on pictures. Walls could really use some repainting. Not to mention the windows, that were very dirty.
What really shocked us was the NOISE from the street and/or from both air-conditioning units in each of the bedrooms, which was simply unbearable.
It's also a pity that Alison is in fact a man called Lester. The only way to communicate with Lester was by calling him, which can turn out to be quite costly. We could also email him, but it just does not seem like the fastest way of communication. Lester was helpful and responsive, though.
Otherwise, the apartment has really good location, which is a big plus; especially if you are in for a morning run in the amazing Central Park. For next stay we'll definitely choose the Meat Packing District though :o)
