This was my best stay ever .... This was the sweetest family I have ever been Round :) (besides mine of course lol) but I would love to stay there again.. The home is beautiful very clean they made some amazing food!!! Very kind and calming .. Anything I needed they were there for me ... I had a great conversations .. I mean o don't even know how to express my self its was that AWESOME :)
I had the most incredible time with Tom and Lisa. Seriously, they are two of the kindest and most hospitable people I have come across. First of all, their house is absolutely beautiful and chalk full of Southern charm (wrap-around porch with lovely rocking chairs, beautiful and comfortable antique furniture and artwork, etc.) My bedroom was so beautifully done and the bed was heavenly. I mean I slept better than I do in my own bed, no exaggeration.
Secondly, they are both unbelievably talented and thoughtful chefs. They made me a delicious and fresh mushroom omelette one morning, a green smoothie (since I offhandedly mentioned I drink those at home) the next with the exact ingredients I use, a splendid chicken salad for dinner, and on the night I ate out I still arrived home to fresh raspberries with high quality dark chocolate sauce and it, too, was absolutely delicious.
Lastly and most importantly, Tom and Lisa are great company. They made me feel right at home in every way, and I loved speaking with them and learning about their lives.
If you are planning a trip to the south you HAVE to stay here. It isn't just a place to stay, it is an experience. I will absolutely be going back in the near future. 10/10!
Southern hospitality is an understatement! Where do I begin? My husband and I were looking for a place to stay near Mt. Pleasant to participate in a mud run and enjoy a weekend away. Lisa and Tom have an absolutely BEAUTIFUL home that is filled with character and love. We arrived late Friday night and had to get up fairly early the next morning. We were greeted by Tom with no complaints that we arrived an hour later than I had originally stated and were offered a welcome drink and snack and were showed to our room on the second floor that had an incredibly comfortable bed (and pillows!) with an adjoining bathroom. We slept SO WELL the two nights we were there. The next morning we were provided with a delicious shake to fuel our bodies for the event and after we returned in the afternoon we met Lisa. Again we were provided a delicious snack and drinks while we cleaned up. We had planned on eating dinner in nearby Charlotte, but once we got to talking with Lisa and Tom, we ended up joining them for dinner. Tom is a fantastic cook and both are just wonderful people and we had such a great time sharing stories. This trip was better than we could have imagined. We started out as guests and left as friends. We would love to see Lisa and Tom again and highly recommend their home for a place to stay. They also have two wonderful cats and a dog, all of which were well behaved and incredibly pleasant to be around. Thanks so much, Lisa and Tom!
I am a flight attendant and my husband Tom imports olive oils and balsamics. We are both gourmet cooks. We enjoy traveling, entertaining, good wine and gardening.
