We have a lovely spot for a restful stay. Located between Rochester and the Finger lakes, our farm is set on a private hilltop overlooking 48 acres of open meadows, a perfect place to see sunrise, sunset, the stars, the moon, and the Milky Way. You will have your own suite within the main house. The bedroom has a double bed and bathroom with a shower. Additionally there is a den with a double futon and kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, coffee and tea. The den opens up to a screened in south facing porch which offers a spectacular view of the drumlins, and accommodates a dining table and chairs, and even enough room for the futon for summer sleeping.(The fireflies are AMAZING in the summer!) Off the porch is a shared patio with tables. Our 4 hens (who will never be eaten) gift us daily with eggs, so if you would like fresh eggs for breakfast, we have them. Scout, our resident feline, keeps things running smoothly. Our three beautiful mares graze outside your window to keep you company. The setting is perfect for a getaway or a retreat. I am a licensed psychotherapist, Reiki Practitioner, Equine Assisted Psychotherapist, and provide healing ceremonies to anyone interested for an additional charge. Massage therapy, outside or inside, can also be arranged for an extra charge.
Free wi-fi and laundry facilities are available. No TV. We will provide linens and towels. Our water is from a well so is non- fluoridated.
We are 5 miles from Palmyra where there are grocery stores, restaurants, and antique shops, among other things. Rochester is 15 miles west, and the Finger Lakes trails and wineries are an hour or so drive. Bike paths along the Erie Canal are easily accessible from our place.
We look forward to having you stay with us.
What a wonderful, peaceful place to stay. Waking up each morning to a view of green pastures, rolling hills, and horses was a treat. Ann added all the perks - fresh cut roses, a super comfortable bed, and tea/coffee and snacks always available. I wish I could have spent more time just enjoying the surroundings. This would be a great first stop on a cross country trip, or just a nice place not too far off route 90 for an overnight or a weekend away. Ann offered to move the futon into the screened-in porch if I wanted to sleep outside (which I would have done if it were a bit warmer). The suite was nicely decked out, very tidy, and homey but not cluttered. Overall, it's a really pretty area, a thoughtfully laid out guest suite, and a very friendly proprietor. For this city girl, this was truly a heavenly "country" experience.
