Ian wasn't here but we were welcomed by Kees, a dutch guy living in the village who spoke perfect English, was very friendly and gave us the... keys. Ian left lots of leaflets, maps and info to read about things to do in the area which is really helpful. Once we worked out the basics of the apartment we enjoyed are stay there and planned some really great trips and walks in the area. The photos were very accurate, appliances worked well, bed comfortable, great shower etc. and we enjoyed cooking our food and eating it outside on the terrace with a glass of wine most evenings. The last night we went to the restaurant in the village - meat eaters paradise! We are veggie so they made us a (massive!) delicious mushroom omelette. Vives is a really sweet, quiet and characterful village.

Ian's studio in Vives was exactly as he describes. Equipped with everything you would need. Vives is a sweet little town to call home for a few days while you buzz around the South of France. It's a special little spot. Ian was helpful and communicative. I miss it here already!

We had a great time at Ian's studio. Small, cozy, exactly how it looks like in the pictures. The house is fully equiped and the tiny town of Vives is extremely relaxing and with a great restaurant only 2mn walk away from the place. Would definetely go back there!

Ian and his wife Helen did everything to make me feel at home in their studio. The studio was very nice, with everything i wanted. The village of Vives unfortunately didnt have any shops or bakery but down the hill you find everything you need. The area is very beautiful, relax and quite. I would recommend this very beautiful place to anyone wanting to explore the area or just be in a quiet relax healthy neighbourhood.

We had a great stay at this comfortable studio and Ian was a very friendly and gracious host. The rental had all the amenities that we could possibly need during our visit. Everything was very clean, in new condition and all in working order. Ian went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to help us better know our surroundings. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Vives or near Ceret.

Response from Ian:
It was a pleasure to host Enzo and his family who stayed with us for 5 nights. Considerate guest who we would welcome back.

We were able to phone Ian a bit early. He was flexible, met us, explained everything and we had a good experience.

I am a potter originally from Derbyshire but until we moved to France, home was in a small village near the middle of Hadrian's Wall.
For a number of years we have enjoyed touring holidays in Europe and more usually in France. We stayed in many good B&Bs & gites but most lacked one or two elements that made them perfect. For example you are staying in a B&B or hotel and you fancy using some local produce to cook yourself something but you don’t have access to a kitchen, or you are staying in a holiday let & you don’t have access to WIFI or if on some days you wished there was an option of breakfast or a simple evening meals provided. We have used our experiences to make our ideal and comfortable base to enjoy your holiday while you visit & explore this very special part of the world. We can even provide itineraries, suggestions & recommendation of great days out from us and from previous visitors
