Simon was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were charming and eclectic and to our taste, and the full Scottish breakfasts were excellent, all well-made with the freshest local ingredients. The views from the Tenterden front rooms are hard to beat — just as in the photos. The front garden was full of flowers and rather elegant ducks, and during our stays the apple(?) trees were in full bloom. Simon even helped us find a mechanic for some small auto repairs. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
Simon met us at the door and gave us a quick orientation/tour of his unique home/BnB. The space is ecclectic, comfortable, and cozy. It is refective of Simon's multifaceted personality and interests. The home is perfectly situated on the principle street of Ullapool with a splendid view of the harbor from the sitting/breakfast room. Simon's provides marvelous cooked breakfast. Wonderful fun place to see the North of Scotland.
Utterly lovely. A perfect location and the house has so much character and charm. Simon is so welcoming and warm and is quite the cook. I had the small bedroom which has a whole wall of books and wonderful, old family pictures in it. I felt quite at home. I only stayed one night, but I could have stayed a month.
The B&B was excellent! The property faces the water and offers exceptional views. Simon gave us helpful information about live music and cooked one of the most delicious Scottish breakfasts I've had so far!
Good welcome from Simon resplendent in his kilt! The description of the property was accurate and it is set in a beautiful tranquil location. The building is a two story wooden house built in the 1930’s so is a bit quirky but it grows on you and I spent a very comfortable three nights there whilst attending the local music Feis. The breakfasts are excellent and include fresh fruit and proper coffee! The wifi was excellent. I look forward to returning again next year.
Simon and his wife were very welcoming. The house is charming and has a beautiful view. The breakfast was wonderful
