Simon was a very friendly host who made us very good breakfasts. The decoration of the house resembled the personal taste of the owners with lots of antiques and books. We enjoyed the view from the house and the great surroundings of Ullapool.
Wooooooonderfuuuullllll !!!!! We loved the view, the atmosphere, the old furnitures and of course the breakfast ! Simon and Eileen are very welcoming host. Our daughter still talk-show about when they let her feed the ducks. Thanks again for this moment !
The place was great. Simon was really helpful. He recommend a walk that we did and it was an amazing 360° view. Simon and his wife warmily welcomed us. The breakfast was wonderful. We had a short great time at his place. We recommend his place.
Charming house in the heart of Ullapool.
Simon have been a very nice host to us and to our boys.
Thanks to Simon and Eileen for making us feel so at home. The location is perfect for what we wanted and easy walking distance to the town. Our accommodation was cosy with a great view of the harbour. We all loved the breakfasts and especially the homemade jams and marmalade.
Simon's place is welcoming and special, like we were staying with friends. Located on the waterfront in the center of town, it is furnished with antiques and has a lot of quirky coziness. Our bed had solid wood posts built into the room itself, for example. Simon and Eileen were a great host, and even let us borrow a book with a simple promise to mail it back. NB: rooms are not en suite; this is not 100% clear in the description.
We were a little concerned that there was no one at home when we arrived, so went to the local hotel to have a meal. Later, Simon made us welcome and showed us the room which was fine and we had a comfortable sleep.
Great breakfast in the morning which set us up for the journey to Stornoway.
