The house is unique in the village both in location and style. Comfortably furnished to create a warm luxurious ambient. Special features are the Four Poster King size bed in the double room, excellent central heating throughout, clothes drying facility, large private garden .
If staying for more than one night will give you the opertunity to visit the many local attractions (See www (website hidden))and even perhaps borrow Simon's boat !
Open all year .
Very authentic and charming hosts with the best breakfast we had during our entire stay in Scotland. If we were to return to/near Ullapool, we'd surely return to Simon and his wife.
Staying with Simon and his wife was an absolute joy. The setting, being right by the loch side and harbor, was beautiful. As was the house, gardens and ducks wandering around. Had a fantastic breakfast included, made up of cereals, fruits and a fry up of our choice. Had an absolutely great stay! Thank you.
The encounter with Simon was a great moment for us. It really is a nice, kind and generous person. His house is very warm and welcoming. Her house as the city is really to discover! The breakfast was really royal and we hope to return soon !
As Simon was not in Ullapool at the time of our visit, we were hosted by his daughter Tess. And what should I say? On our many trips to Scotland we have rarely stayed in a greater B & B. Family access, a unique house with skillfully mixed interiors and a fantastic breakfast (especially the bread and the fruits). Next time we will definitely stay longer than one night!
My last review disappeared :( staying here with Simon and the elusive elf will be a highlight of our 2 month tour to uk And Europe. Shakespeare said it, wonderful and wonderful and then again wonderful - and yet wonderful and after that passing all hooping (not exact but close to actual words)
Such a blend of modern comforts with ethical sustainable living.
I will take a little of this home back to mine (figuratively) ;) I need a few more nooks and crannies
Very nice & quirky B&B in a beautiful location! Had a great night there, and the breakfast was lovely! The views from the breakfast room we're amazing. Would definitely stay there again!
We stayed 2 nights un Simon's b&b to visit Ullapool and Durness. Simon is very friendly and welcoming and The breakfast there is definitely The best we had during our holidays un Scotland !
Simon's house is in a perfect location at Ullapool, it was really nice to stay there.
Simon warmly welcomed us into his quirky retro cottage in lovely Ullapool. He has some great stories to share. Our room downstairs was large but dark with a good view over the harbour. I'd have to say that the bathroom facilities were limited at best but the breakfast was great. Fabulous omelette, thanks. Overall, comfortable enough but overpriced.
Everything was perfect: very nice and helpful host, nice room and bathroom and a very good breakfast! I recommend with all my heart :-)
