Ichiro was very warm and hospitable towards us, offering us help in our entire trip. The place was relatively far (10mins walk from the subway) but had quite a number of eateries around the university. As we squeezed 5 to a room, it was a little too packed. In all, given the price, it was still a cheap and good option to be at.
Ichiro was very helpful and accomodating. Our reservation for a house in Bunk-yo fell through and at New Years there was not room for four to be had in Tokyo, but Ichiro squeezed us in. The common areas are spacious enough, but some other guests did not clean up after themselves. Bedding is to be washed by departing guests so allow vacation time for that. The location is terrific!
The place was clean and tidy. Price was considered good as it was located in the central of Tokyo. 2nd and 3rd floor has no internet access, was only told on that day. Toilets were clean and well managed.
Ichiro was not the friendliest Japanese I've met. He is very business minded and I got scolded by him at the end of the day, for not telling him earlier that I wanted to check out early. It's my fault, but I really thought that it was a small issue. In the end, almost all my deposit of 10.000 yen was taken away till i pleaded for leniency.
Anyway, wouldnt recommend guesthouse to a foreigner like me, as guesthouse has many 'hidden rules' and I'm definitely finding somewhere else next time round. Enter his premise at your own peril
Thanks to Ichiro for your good treatment on the 1st 7 days though, and no thanks to your scoldings on the last 2, even though I fed your pocket.
