Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, the rich smell of coffee brewing (or tea!) in the morning. Two minutes from freeway access, 5 minutes from downtown, one block from public transport. Urban situated with a secret garden oasis through the back door.
A beautiful, comfortable home, five minutes to downtown Milwaukee. Visit the world famous Harley Davidson museum and plant, the Milwaukee Art Museum designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, attend one of the numerous music festivals, and much, much more. Milwaukee is a park filled city on Lake Michigan, and you will not run out of things to see, do, and explore here.
The home is light filled and very comfortable. There is garage space for parking, and an enclosed garden with a fountain and a deck.
When I am away, you can rent the whole house - just inquire. Pricing is different for that option. The house has four bedrooms and two and a half baths. The kitchen/dining area is an open, beautiful space. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals.
There will be coffee and tea for you in the morning.
The house is located in a residential neighborhood, close to restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions, and two minutes access to the freeway. City bus lines are one block away.
I am happy to advise you or direct you to any place you would like to visit in the city, or nearby. Wifi access is available at no charge within the house.
You are welcome to make yourself at home. Read or listen to music in the living room. Make yourself lunch in the kitchen, and enjoy eating in the dining room. A drink by candlelight on the deck is a great way to end the day.
If you want company, I would love to chat! If you need a ride from the train station or airport, I will accommodate you if my schedule will allow.
Kerry was a wonderful host! Her home was very comfortable and accommodating. She has beautiful eclectic art and furniture which made the atmosphere inspiring. It was winter, but her back yard looks like it would be a great place to hang out and relax in the summertime. Next time I am in Milwaukee, I will be seeking out Kerry's place again!
A truly accommodating host, Kerry made my overnight stay in Milwaukee a treat. I had a cozy, comfortable room and access to her spacious, beautiful home. She provided helpful tips on places to eat and neighborhoods to visit. Her home is located just outside of busier hotspots but they are easily accessible via car or bus ride. I additionally appreciated the use of her garage for parking. A really pleasant stay and oh yeah, great coffee!
Kerry is a great host! She picked me up from downtown and drove me to the house so I wouldn't have to take the bus the first night I was there. She was gracious and friendly, easy to talk to and responsive. Her house is clean, comfortable and close to town. I'd recommend her without reservations.
Three family members and I spent two nights here for a weekend. We occupied the two upstairs rooms. We were very happy with the space. Very quiet and clean. Kerry was very helpful and friendly. The price seemed very reasonable and the location was really convenient to anything in the downtown area of Milwaukee. It seemed like we were a maximum of ten minutes from just about anything.
Kerry has a beautiful, charming and very clean home! We would recommend her to anyone. We were close to all the places in Milwaukee we wanted to visit and Kerry was helpful in suggesting good eating places. She is a welcoming and charming hostess!
Staying with Kerry was tremendous. Looking at how she prepares for guest travelers taught me a good deal about how I will do the same for airbnb users once I get organized. Bright, fluffy, plentiful towels. Privacy. A simple but well decorated room. Clean kitchen. Easy to follow, written guidelines and how to keep the house secure and well kept. And much appreciated parking in her secure garage. Her home is only an 8 minute drive into downtown, and close to a fabulous cafe and bakery called Amaranth. The neighborhood is a bit dicey from block to block, and it is hard to find eating establishments and groceries that don't appear pretty seedy. But if you can get past that, you will find yourself comfortable and care for.
Thanks for the lovely review, Kari. I enjoyed your visit!
I just want to add a little clarification about "dicey and seedy" so no one misunderstands. I live in a very nice, cohesive, urban neighborhood with wonderful neighbors, where safety has never been an issue, either for myself, my property or car, or my children. Pick N Save, a large chain grocery store is a five minute drive, as are many wonderful and eclectic coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants.
I am glad you felt comfortable and cared for Kari - welcome back any time!
We had a great stay with Kerry. Her house is beautiful and has PHENOMENAL art, great books. It was a lovely stay.
Kerry was a great host. Beautiful home with really cool art. I had my own room and bathroom and everything was comfortable and neat. He coffee was delicious and I really enjoyed talking to her and getting to know her.
We had a very nice stay. We were there for a small family reunion and the space worked out very well, especially the large dining room table for a dinner of 10. The house is very comfortable. Kerry was kind and flexible and even helped us out when we locked ourselves in the backyard. This little backyard is a small haven, a peaceful retreat, great place to read and relax, even though it is a very urban setting. It was nice to be so close to the downtown area and the lakeshore.
I had the most wonderful time with Kerry. She should be voted as best airbnb host ever. She is kind and warm hearted and a great woman! She even cooked me an outstanding dinner and we sat down talking until midnight. I would have loved to stay longer and I hope to see her again. Her house is one of a kind: filled with arts and memories from her travels. I loved the decor of my room and slept like a baby. Everything is extremely clean! Other airbnb hosts should learn from her! Thanks again Kerry!!!!!!!! :)))
