Enjoy the charm of a heritage building while staying at the best location in downtown Vancouver.
This apartment is located at the Electra Building, the old BC Hydro company building from 1957. Renovated and adapted to residential in 1995 it retains the modernistic charm of the '50s. It was Vancouver’s first skyscraper, then the first commercial building to be designated heritage.
This apartment comfortably accommodates 4 people: each of the two bedrooms has its own full ensuite bathroom and closet. An extra 5th guest can sleep in the living room's sofa bed.
2 queen-size beds
high-quality linens and towels
high-speed wireless internet
TV and cable
iron and iron board
phone with unlimited local calls
Fully equipped kitchen includes:
dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker
pots, pans, glasses, cutlery
3 high-speed elevators

security electronic keys to the building and elevator
free laundry room - 4 washer and dryers on the same floor
Interaction with Guests
I try to meet all my guests on check-in, hand the keys, and explain the basics f the apartment and neighbourhood. I will be available during your stay over the phone, and come by if you need any assistance.
Please browse through the reviews on my other listings. I'll do everything to make your stay pleasant, comfortable, and stress-free.
Note: This is not a shared space. You'll have the place entirely to yourself.
The building is at the corner of Nelson and Burrard streets, right at the centre of downtown. Restaurants and shops are steps away, plus the convenience of a supermarket across the street.
You'll be able to walk everywhere: Convention Centre, Vancouver Art Gallery, Yaletown, Gastown, English Bay, Stanley Park and much more. Only 25 minutes by subway or cab from the airport.
Other Things to Note
Things my guests love about this unit:
– Location! Awesome spot for exploring the city on foot.
– Free washer and dryer on the same floor.
– Quiet spot in a downtown setting
– Safe building and area.
– Supermarket one block away, open to midnight.
Things some guests don't like as much:
– The building has no parking. You can park nearby for around $20 per day, or ask me about my parking spot next door.
– The blinds don't cut the morning light completely.
LGBT and straight friendly.
Please note that I only hand keys to the person who booked the reservation and you must show valid picture ID.
Guests must follow the strata bylaws and regulations. You will be asked to sign a Form K (a demand from the building's management), stating you will comply with these bylaws:
No smoking anywhere in the apartment or building, or up to 6 meters from the building's front door.
No drinking alcohol in the common areas of the building.
Respect the laundry room hours (8am to 11pm).
No noise in the lobby, elevators, or hallways.
And these are my own little rules:
No unregistered guests.
No more than 8 people in the apartment at any given moment.
Please remove your shoes when entering the unit (as Canadians do).
Please, avoid removing make-up on the towels. There are Kleenex, cotton pads and cotton swabs provided for that purpose.
Although I don't charge a safety deposit, I trust you to reimburse me in case of any incident (stains, broken glasses, lost keys, etc).
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
While beeing in Vancouver we stayed in Lilis apartment. She welcomed us warmly and gave us good advices on what to do and where to go. The Apartment is fully equipped, very clean and comfortable, also it's located in downtown and all major tourist attractions are within easy reach.
So we'll be recommending Lilis apartment to friends and anyone going to Vancouver.
Thanks for the good hosting and making our holiday more awesome.
Lili was amazing. She checked in with us at the beginning of our trip and ensured that we had everything we needed. She also checked in at the end of our trip to ensure that we were happy with everything. The space was very well maintained and was very very comfortable to stay in. The beds were especially good quality and everyone slept really well. Kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely come back here to stay again!
Lili was an excellent host. She was very welcoming and a great help with everything about being a tourist in Vancouver! She did make us wait to settle into the apartment as the house wasn't cleaned from the previous reservation but it was worth it. The location was great and it enabled us to walk around Vancouver without having to bother with renting a car or using a lot of public transportation. One of the bedrooms is a little too compact but overall, the experience was to our satisfaction.
Everything was great. Great location for our stay. Everything we needed and excellent host
We have a really good time in Vancouver :)
The apartment is super great, it's really tidy. location is good, near the shopping place and sky train :)
We had a wonderful stay in this very clean and well appointed apartment, in an ideal location. Very comfortable beds, pillows etc and the apartment had absolutely everything we needed. Lili was the perfect host - very friendly and helpful, providing lots of communication and helpful information before and during our stay, and a friendly message after. Would recommend without hesitation!
Great experience with Lili! She helped us find our way from the airport to the flat and then met us there with maps and brochures. She welcomed us and showed us around and helped us figure out our way around the city. I would definitely stay with Lili again.

About the Host, Lili
I'm an Airbnb veteran, hosting since July 2010 and loving every minute of it. I do a lot of volunteering, namely as the vice-president of Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre, Director of Programming for Projecting Change Film Festival, and sit on the board of the Brazilian Consulate's Citizen Council.
I immigrated from Brazil to Vancouver 7 years ago and Ken, my partner, is the chief film critic of the Georgia Straight, Vancouver's weekly entertainment newspaper. Ken's son lives with us and works at a local movie theatre. As you can imagine, we watch more movies in one year than most people in their whole lives! I love cooking and baking with the great local products we find here.
I totally fell in love with Vancouver as soon as I got here, and I'm sure you will, too. (Or maybe you are returning for a visit and know exactly what I'm talking about!)
You will find a clean and comfortable apartment at the perfect location to explore the city, and I will do my best to make your stay enjoyable and stress-free.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Hope to see you soon!
