Enjoy the charm of a heritage building while staying at the best location in downtown Vancouver.
This apartment is located at the Electra Building, the old BC Hydro company building from 1957. Renovated and adapted to residential in 1995 it retains the modernistic charm of the '50s. It was Vancouver’s first skyscraper, then the first commercial building to be designated heritage.
This apartment comfortably accommodates 4 people: each of the two bedrooms has its own full ensuite bathroom and closet. An extra 5th guest can sleep in the living room's sofa bed.
2 queen-size beds
high-quality linens and towels
high-speed wireless internet
TV and cable
iron and iron board
phone with unlimited local calls
Fully equipped kitchen includes:
dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker
pots, pans, glasses, cutlery
3 high-speed elevators

Interaction with Guests
I try to meet all my guests on check-in, hand the keys, and explain the basics f the apartment and neighbourhood. I will be available during your stay over the phone, and come by if you need any assistance.
Please browse through the reviews on my other listings. I'll do everything to make your stay pleasant, comfortable, and stress-free.
Note: This is not a shared space. You'll have the place entirely to yourself.
The building is at the corner of Nelson and Burrard streets, right at the centre of downtown. Restaurants and shops are steps away, plus the convenience of a supermarket across the street.
You'll be able to walk everywhere: Convention Centre, Vancouver Art Gallery, Yaletown, Gastown, English Bay, Stanley Park and much more. Only 25 minutes by subway or cab from the airport.
Other Things to Note
Things my guests love about this unit:
– Location! Awesome spot for exploring the city on foot.
– Free washer and dryer on the same floor.
– Quiet spot in a downtown setting
– Safe building and area.
– Supermarket one block away, open to midnight.
Things some guests don't like as much:
– The building has no parking. You can park nearby for around $20 per day, or ask me about my parking spot next door.
– The blinds don't cut the morning light completely.
LGBT and straight friendly.
Please note that I only hand keys to the person who booked the reservation and you must show valid picture ID.
Guests must follow the strata bylaws and regulations. You will be asked to sign a Form K (a demand from the building's management), stating you will comply with these bylaws:
No smoking anywhere in the apartment or building, or up to 6 meters from the building's front door.
No drinking alcohol in the common areas of the building.
Respect the laundry room hours (8am to 11pm).
No noise in the lobby, elevators, or hallways.
And these are my own little rules:
No unregistered guests.
No more than 8 people in the apartment at any given moment.
Please remove your shoes when entering the unit (as Canadians do).
Please, avoid removing make-up on the towels. There are Kleenex, cotton pads and cotton swabs provided for that purpose.
Although I don't charge a safety deposit, I trust you to reimburse me in case of any incident (stains, broken glasses, lost keys, etc).
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
We are family of five and we stayed at Lili's appartment for 4 nights. Lili welcomed us with a very warm reception. The appartment is in a great location and everything in the appartment is designed to make you fill like home away from home. Lili helped us a lot giving us some tips of what to do in town. In short we had a great stay in Vancouver thank you Lili!
Place was beautiful with tasteful furnishings and great views of downtown. Very good location with Stanley Park and most nightlife locations within walking distance.
We had a great stay at Lili's apartment. The apartment is as promised, it was nice and clean. The location is perfect if you like to stay downtown Vancouver:-) .
The building has a good fitness room and the laundry room is just across the hall from the apartment.
Lili is a great hostess, very friendly and helpful.Check in and check out was without problems.
We are giving both Lili and the apartment our best recommandations.
We would like to come back.
We had a great time in Vancouver. Lili's condo was really comfortable and clean. As it's located in the center of downtown, we went everywhere we like freely. Thank you Lili, we are very glad to have had a nice tea time with you. Masako
Excellent stay! I was in town with a colleague for a conference. Lili was extremely easy to communicate with and very accommodating with key pickup and checkout time. She even offered to hold our luggage for the last day of our conference after we checked out. The apartment was very clean and central (5minute walk to Burrard & Robson). Perfect for two professionals traveling and much better value than the surrounding hotels. I would definitely stay again. Thanks, Lili!
We loved Lili's apartment! It fit our family of four perfectly. We stayed for a week. It looked just like the pictures and had everything we needed. The beds, and bedding, were very comfortable and it was very handy to have free laundry right down the hall. We heard no stomping around noise from the apartment above. The apartment really is in the middle of downtown, we walked to BC place and Granville Island, choosing to cab it to Stanley park b/c we planned on riding bikes all day.

About the Host, Lili
I'm an Airbnb veteran, hosting since July 2010 and loving every minute of it. I do a lot of volunteering, namely as the vice-president of Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre, and spokesperson of the Brazilian Consulate's Citizen Council.
I immigrated from Brazil to Vancouver 7 years ago and got my Canadian citizenship two years ago. Ken, my partner, is the chief film critic of the Georgia Straight, Vancouver's weekly entertainment newspaper. As you can imagine, we watch more movies in one year than most people in their whole lives! I love cooking and baking with the great local products we find here.
I totally fell in love with Vancouver as soon as I got here, and I'm sure you will, too. (Or maybe you are returning for a visit and know exactly what I'm talking about!)
You will find a clean and comfortable apartment at the perfect location to explore the city, and I will do my best to make your stay enjoyable and stress-free.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Hope to see you soon!
