Wow! What a great experience! The pictures don't do this place justice. The kitchen in the house is spectacular and the great room is big. The sleeping quarters are comfortable, but the person in who calls the master bedroom will definitely feel like they are sleeping on clouds. Nina is very attentive and her response time is within minutes. She even responded to a wifi question I had at 1am! Can't get that level of service at a hotel. The house comes with towels blankets etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates and cooking pans. The outside has great places to relax and enjoy the weather. You are also one block away from the seawall and the Pleasure Pier. You can see the rides from the patio! All in all, great place to stay. I will stay here again and again! Thanks Nina!
It was exactly what we expected- a lovely experience! Nina made us feel so at home with all kinds of personal touches that put our kids immediately at ease (fresh baked goods, fruit, and flowers). The place is impeccably clean and has all the comforts of home and then some (loved her professional grade waffle maker). It's just a quick walk to the Pleasure Pier, beach, and lots of restaurants. You are in the heart of all the action. The place accommodates a party of 6 easily. The house has lots of charm, is very well maintained and updated. Nina was a great resource for restaurants, etc. We would definitely come again or recommend The Castle to a friend! Thank you for a great weekend!
Our host was awesome! Great attention to detail, had fresh fruit waiting for us on arrival and thought of every need we could possibly need. The Property also is not lacking in anything, it has a fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you could need including an awesome waffle maker! It has nice high end finishes and great decoration. The location is ideal for access to the pleasure pier, it is about a 3-4 minute walk. Other good ammenities included an outdoor shower. The only negative about the property is that there is a bar accross the street, as to be expected there is a quite a bit of noise and the expected police responses to disturbances. Other than that will be back at our next visit to Galveston
House was in a perfect location! Right by the beach, pleasure pier, and a few bars and restaurants. It was also very nice and extremely clean. Nina, the host, could not have been nicer. Highly recommend to anybody looking to stay in Galveston.
Had a great time, wonderfully restored home! Great location just blocks from the Pleasure Pier! Would definitely return!
Nina was an incredible host. I was running a little late due to traffic through Houston, and Nina kept in contact to make sure we arrived to the Castle safely. She was also very prompt at answering any questions my friends and I had, and she was always giving us tip of places to visit in Galveston to make sure we enjoyed our time there.
The house itself was also great! It was very spacious, accommodating, and well decorated. I definitely recommend this place!
We arrived later than expected on a week night and Nina kept in touch by text message giving us tips on how to get to the Castle.
When we arrived we were totally surprised just how nice the upstairs of the Castle was.
Nina had bought some drinks and fruit for us since we were arriving late. It was such a treat after a long flight.
After spending three days in Galveston, we realized we had found a gold mine. The Castle is a block away from the new Pleasure Pier Amusement Park. There is a great sidewalk all the way from Pleasure Pier along the Sea Wall that was great for strolling or jogging.
Nina had provided shampoo and conditioner in large bottles, as well as all condiments you would need in the fridge. Such a nice touch. We will never stay in a normal hotel room again.
This was our first experience with airbnb but will certainly not be our last.
The front room was big with a queen hide a bed, a day bed, and a trundle, so all four of us guys had our own bed. It was great!!
