About this listing
This historic apartment is in the absolute center of Ljubljana just 1 minute from Tromostovje (The Three Bridges) in the same Building as the Grand Union Hotel. It marries old world art nouveau charm with modern convenience as it was recently renovated.
The building designed by Hungarian born architect Josip Vancaš according to Vienese architectural trends c.1900. I share this space with my friendly roommates and am offering a private room.
Long-term/Monthly rentals possible (contact me for details).
You are welcomed to enjoy the kitchen and you will have your own keys, fresh linens etc.
There is wifi in the common rooms of the house, but the big room only receives the free city wifi, which is available to users for one hour per day.
Interaction with Guests
I am looking for respectful and easygoing visitors interested in sharing their travel experiences and discovering Ljubljana and I never accept guests unless I have some info about them, so personalized messages are greatly encouraged.
I am living between Ljubljana and Vienna at the moment, so I am not always around. If I am around, I will try to help you enjoy your stay in this charming city and if I'm not, a trusted friend will be happy to do the same.
There are lots of cafes, restaurants, historic sites in the neighborhood. You can walk everywhere, including the train station, in about ten minutes, but there are also lots of buses nearby. However one disadvantage for some gusts is that we are under a church whose bells ring frequently. I have never been bothered by them and we have modern windows that muffle the noise, but if you are a very light sleeper, bring earplugs.
The apartment is very central and everything is accessible by foot.
Here are some suggestions for TAXIS/transfers and PARKING:
If you need a taxi from the train/bus station I highly recommend calling Taxi Laguana (phone number hidden) or Taxi Metr(phone number hidden). It is much cheaper to call them than to find a random taxi at the station.
Both companies can also arange airport transfers for around 30EUR (up to 4 people)
There is also a door to door shuttle service from/to the airport for 9EUR per person (shared with other passengers) offered by Mnj transfers. (phone number hidden).
In addition Prevozi Tima have private transfers (up to 4) to and from the airport for 20-25EUR.
My apartment is in the pedestrian center so it is not possible to park directly under the house, but under my building's larger complex (operated by the grand union hotel) there is a car park for 18EUR per 24h. You can find it at miklosiceva 3, behind the fountain.
Another option is in the tivoli park
One place where free parking is tolerated is behind the brewery, but it is technically not allowed, so park at your own risk ; )
Pivovarniška ulica 3
Pivovarna Union d.d.

Eric's apartment is wonderful, very spacious and in an amazing location close to everything! His friend Nina took care of us and was very lovely and helpful. We would definitely stay here again
Eric's flat is really very centrally located in Ljubljana, just opposite of the St. Francis Church and 40m away from the three bridges. You can easily explore the old town from here, which is a big plus. This means on the other hand side, that parking options are limited, if you arrive by car - you have to find a compromise. We found a parking space about 600m away from the apartment, but it's only free during evening and nights, so if you're spending several days in Ljubljana, you better come without a car, if you want to stay here.
The room itself was very spacious, with a nice view. Keep in mind though, as formerly mentioned, that you have a direct view to the church - and its bell tower, which will give you a loud update on the time every 15 minutes until midnight - and makes sure you don't oversleep in the morning - unless you put in some ear plugs.
Nevertheless the location is a nice stay in Ljubljana and Eric's friend Nina gave us a very hearty welcome.
Eric was a lovely host. He met us before hand and showed us the way to the apartment. The interior of the apartment is beautiful with lovely decor and nice views of the city. You cant beat this location, it is right beside the triple bridges. Thanks for being a great host. Eric went out of his way to give us recommendations. We loved the tapas bar! We hope to return soon to Ljubljana! What a fantastic place! :-)
This was the first stop on our Balkans trip and it was all that we could've wanted and more! The apartment was beautiful, clean and spacious. It was literally a stones throw from the city centre so great in terms of value, Eric also gave us some great knowledge on places to go that you wouldn't normally get from a guide book so that was a real bonus!
All in all, great stay and great apartment!
The apartment is very well located, in city center and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
We stayed one night in Eric's flat in the absolute centre of Ljubljana. The flat (which has 3 further rooms) and the room is very spacious and very clean and tidy. Eric handed us a map of the city and recommended some great restaurants and everything is within walking distance of the flat. The only slight downside would be the churchbells right outside the window but all in all we had a great experience!
