About this listing
A newly modernised one bedroom flat with all amenities in an exclusive and central location. The flat is on the fourth floor (with lift) and has open views from the large south facing window and french balcony.
Fully fitted kitchen
The bedroom comprises a double bed and a cot for children (no extra charge). Older children (no extra charge) can sleep in the living room on a fold out bed or on the sofa. Extra charges apply for additional adults.
The living room is large and includes a comfortable sofa and seating opportunities. For entertainment you will have at your disposition a large flat screen TV, Sony Playstation, Apple TV, and an analogue surround sound Bose system with a cable to connect your iPod/iPhone/iPad (no iPhone 5).
Wireless broadband internet.
The dining area boasts a beautiful 1960's danish table with grey Philippe Starck "Masters" chairs.
The bathroom contains a "rain" shower and a power shower head; it is beautifully designed in a warm tan and brown colour scheme. Fresh towels are provided. A modern, very quiet, washer/dryer is also located in the bathroom, hidden away in a cupboard.
The kitchen is ample and offers an electric stove (gets the pans and pots very hot, very quickly!); oven; plates, platters, glasses, and cutlery for six people; decanter; tea pot and french press to make coffee; Nespresso machine; toaster; blender; Fissler pots and pans.
The entrance hallway has a wardrobe for your shoes and jackets.
The flat is centrally located. There are a string of trendy restaurants a 5 minute walk away on Grindelhof where you can also find many local services and shops; a high quality supermarket is 5 minutes away on Hallerstrasse. If the weather is nice, you can take a 15 minute stroll through leafy Harvestehude to the lake Alster or toward the chic shopping quarter of Eppendorf. Stops for the U1 underground metro line (connects you to the city centre in 5 minutes and to the airport in 25 minutes) and various bus lines are one block away.
Please do not smoke.
Please do not wear shoes in the apartment.
Although the TV has a Bose sound system attached to it, do not turn it up too much; the neighbours have never complained and I'd like to keep it that way.
You can use the wireless internet.
Never leave the flat without the keys: I suggest you lock the door from the inside when you enter the house and leave your keys in the lock - that way, you will have to turn the keys and take them out of the lock when you leave, ensuring you won't leave them lying on the kitchen table....
