  • We are a couple and stayed at Steve's place for 28 nights. We had a great time there and the place is extremely well located, next to a main train station, tram stops and within walking distance to most places we wanted to visit in Melbourne. Steve is rarely around but he's always willing to reply any questions or requests by email and mobile phone. The kitchen includes all cooking utensils we needed, making it very easy for us to prepare our meals and save money to explore the area. The flat includes 2 AirBnB rooms and sometimes we had the flat to ourselves while other days we shared with other tenants. That's also a nice way to meet other people travelling around. At the living room, you'll find guidebooks and tourist information to help you plan your time around Melbourne. We used the jacuzzi and sauna several times and, frequently, we were the only people there. If, like us, you are concerned about conserving natural resources and recycling, please use the recycling bins placed in the "garbage room" (outside the flat, next to the glass doors). The only disadvantage of staying at this place is the noise from the trains; although the trains don't work all night, there was railwork after working hours in around 7 out of 28 nights so we'd recommend getting earplugs.

  • I stayed in Steven's apartment for two weeks while working at Melbourne uni. This was my first Airbnb experience but I doubt that other hosts are as friendly, helpful and considerate as Steven was. He was truly a great host and a major reason why my stay was both pleasant and productive. The apartment has a great location right in the middle of melbourne within walking distance from almost everything that one would like to do in the city and the trams that stop in the street outside the house will take you to places farther away (including the nice beach town of St Kilda).

  • Steve’s place is in a great location in the CBD – perfect for ease of exploring Melbourne. Our room was very comfortable and although we didn’t see much of Steve, the other guests were able to let us in when we arrived and we had a very pleasant stay.

  • Steve is a fantastic host and his apartment in the Grand Hotel is tidy and bright. The hotel's swimming pool is accessible to guests, but I didn't end up using it this visit.

Steve had some great tips for going out in Melbourne and the location of the apartment itself so close to Southern Cross station and Southbank is perfect. If you're a light sleeper and want to sleep in, take some earplugs as the bedroom is right next to train tracks and they start early on weekdays.

I recommend Steve's apartment for anyone travelling to Melbourne.

  • Steve's was a great place to stay. Magnificent building and in an ideal location. We didn't see a lot of Steve during our stay but he was extremely accommodating and a really nice guy.
    Would definitely recommend his room.
    Thanks Steve!

  • Steve was a fantastic host; it was my first time using AirBnb, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was very pleased to find such a lovely and welcoming host, and I couldn't really have asked for a better located apartment, not to mention having a gym and swimming pool downstairs. I very much appreciated my stay, and would recommend the apartment in a heartbeat.

  • Staying at Steve's place was amazing! He's a caring host though he's not present in the apartment too often. The apartment itself is clean and providing everything you need including a Myki card for the public transport. But the best thing is the location since it's located perfectly in the heart of Melbourne. I would always stay there again!

  • The Free city tram stop just few steps, great location, nice place what else can you ask for? we had a nice holiday.

  • The flat is strategically located in the center of CBD, a walking distance from main shops and restaurants. The gym, pool and sauna are a plus. The host is very kind, absolutely flexible with check-in and out. During the two days that me and my wife stayed at the apartment we never saw Steven so we had the entirely flat for our own.
You can hear the trains passing in the busy hours of the day, so if you are a light sleeper it might be an issue. Good value and recommemded.

  • Steven and Ashlee were great hosts - very friendly and easy to talk to. I had a great time staying in the downstairs room, and had no troubles getting settled in. The location was fabulous, and I loved having access to the pool and spa during my stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in the heart of Melbourne.
