Fantastic apartment that is maintained in a perpetual state of brand new condition. It is located in the most sought after location in Nice. Wedged right in between Carre d'Or and Old Town and just next to the beach, it doesn't get any more ideal.
Best location on the French Riviera. Bright and beautiful loft with all the amenities right in the thick of it. Under one minutes walk to place Messena, the Cour Saleya and Nice beaches. Resturants and shopping are steps from our flat in every direction. The absolute perfect pied de terre for the ultimate Nice experience.
The loft is situated on the second floor of an historic building that once served as a covenant and hospital. It is very near Nice Opera, on the furthest south east corner of Carre d'Or, just 75 feet from Old Town. Major construction for this flat was finished November 2012 and, the design element and finishings we just completed in March 2013. So everything is in excellent condition. Ideal for a family of four. However, there is a sofa bed that could offer two additional persons with a place.
4 meter ceilings, in floor heating, 100% LED lighting, built in LAN, 51" flat screen LED TV, WIFI, Apple TV, dual docking station for iPhone 4s and older devices. WASHER/DRYER, dish washer, oven, microwave, induction stove top, glass shower, solid oak flooring and Italian tiles. There are two full sized beds in loft area with sofa sleeper in living area. Everything was purchased brand new!
The Loft puts the WOW in wow factor. Bright and spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable and, it really is the best location in town. So, if you are looking to make day trips to nearby villages or simply want to explore around town. The Loft is under a minutes walk to the upscale shopping in Carre d'Or also, under a minutes walk to the independently owned shops of Old Town. It id only a few steps to the outdoor flower market on the Cour Saleya. Or, simply hang out at the beach. Everything Nice has to offer is just outside the Loft's front door. There are more restaurants than you could visit in a year. Grocery stores, boulangerie, dry cleaners, wine caves, fromageries are all within a minutes walk. This is the urban explorers dream come true.
There is an airport shuttle bus and tram to train station and both are just steps away. There are also busses to Monaco and Cannes within a few minutes walk. There are four separate velo bleu bike station under a minutes walk from the flat. Also, there are a couple of Auto Bleu car station both within two minutes walk. The electric cars are great way to explore. They only cost 8 euro an hour and give you 120 kilometres of autonomy. The bicycles are free for the first 30 minutes an 1 euro an hour after that. All busses and tram cost just 1.5 euro! So weather you want to check out the beaches just outside or head to Cannes, Antibes, Ville Franche, Monaco and more, our flat truly puts you right in the centre of all the action.
Though originally from Chicago, my family and I have been living in center Nice for eight years now. We're here to point you in the right direction. We have built a great product to ensure you experience is the best possible. Coming from Chicago I am always amazed at how every apartment in Nice is just like the next. We really have gone the extra mile to create a beautiful unique product. It is a one of kind flat and we keep it spotlessly clean. This truly is as good as a location you could get. We are confident that if you are looking for a city center pied de terre than we have a great product for you. We are there for 99.9% of every check in and check out. So we will meet you directly at the flat to hand over the keys. Directions from the airport and train station are included in the directions portion of your booking confirmation. We try to be present for every checkout. However, in the event we have not fixed a checkout time or in the unforeseen event that we are unavoidably detayed. Please leave the keys on the kitchen table and pull the apartment door closet behind you.
Interaction with Guests
Minus check in and check out, we have as much or as little interaction with the guests as meets your needs.
The apartment is located in the most sought after areas Nice. It is in the furthest south west portion of Carre' d'Or, right on the edge of old town. It is just between the opera house and the Hotel d'Ville.
Public transportation is as close as it gets. The tram line is under one minutes walk. Busses are under three minutes walk.
Other Things to Note
We are obligated to collect a €1.50 stay tax per night/per person. We collect this in cash at check in. Please make sure you have verified check in and check out times with us at time of booking or prior to. We are extremely flexible however, we are not shy to ask for an extra service charge for late and last minute check ins.
This contract is for the hire of accommodation by the persons named on the booking form and for the specified period only. We do not accept third party bookings. The Client is responsible for making the travel arrangements and is advised to take out comprehensive travel/holiday insurance that includes cancellation coverage and full coverage for the party’s personal (website hidden) residents are also advised to carry a European Health Insurance Card, which replaced the E111 as of January 1st 2006.
The booking is for the dates shown on the booking form. The apartment is available after 15:00 hours on the day of arrival and must be vacated in a tidy and hygienic condition by 10:00am on the day of departure. This is to enable the Property Manager time to prepare the property for the next visitors.
Normal check in is at 3pm. Alternative check in times can be arranged at time of booking if possible. All check ins after 7pm local time are automatically charged a service fee unless we have agreed to the later check in time at time of or prior to booking. Further more, by accepting this booking you agree to pay an additional fee of €50 for check-ins after 19:00 as well as, and additional 50 euro for any time over one hour later than our agreed upon check in time. Check-ins after 22:00 (10pm) local time agree to pay an additional 50 euro. Check ins occurring between the hours of Midnight and 5AM are 200€. Normal check out is at 10am. Alternative check out times can also be arranged, if possible. We are very flexible but again this must be agreed to at time of booking. In the event you plan to check out before 9am you can simply leave the keys on the kitchen counter. Late check out fee is 50€ per half hour after the first half hour grace period unless we have agreed to a later check out in advance.
***We are flexible however, Alternative check in/out times MUST be agreed to prior to booking and are subject to availability, Thank you*** Guests are solely responsible for communicating any travel delays that will effect your arrival. Guests with PROVABLE travel delays, such as delayed flights, will be able to check in at any hour. However, there will still be a flat 50 euro extra service charge.
It is the sole responsibility of the guests to enter the correct number of persons planning to stay at this unit at the time of booking. Every guest must be included in the actual number of guests staying and not simply mentioned additional guests in the message thread, regardless of age. Last minute changes to the total number of guests included in the rental agreement agree to pay 50 euro per guests in addition to any nightly rate change for the extra persons. Children under the age of five pay a flat fee of 27 euro. This is to ensure that all of our additional expenses are covered. If you have paid the full guests fare for children five and under let us know and we will refund you any possible difference to the rate via airbnb. Children five and under will need to establish their age with a passport.
Acceptance of this booking signifies acceptance of all booking conditions here to in. The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The Client is responsible and liable for all damage or breakages during their stay no matter how minor, whether accidental or negligent and, are required to replace or pay for all damage/breakages. In addition to any deposits paid to Airbnb, a cash key/damage deposit of €200 is required at check-in. This amount is in addition to the €300 deposit secured by Airbnb. However the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the Client’s liability to the owner. We ask you to respect the apartment and all its contents for us and all of our guests. If you have broken an item, you must notify us ASAP so that we can ensure that the next visitors receive the full benefit of a complete apartment. The agent reserves the right to retain the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves the apartment in an unacceptable condition.
The Client accepts that the apartment owners, their agents or employees shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident or injury to any members of the party or visitors, howsoever caused, nor for loss or damage to any personal goods or property, howsoever caused.
The Owners are relieved from liabilities if the apartment should become unavailable for any unforeseen circumstances. In this event, a refund may be made; limited to the maximum rental fee paid by the Client to us the property owners. Any additional fees for services provided by Airbnb need to be settled with Airbnb directly. In addition, assistance will be given to secure alternative accommodation. Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period. This apartment is offered only for holiday rental and subject to confirmation. Clients found to be using this apartment for anything other than a holiday rental will be asked to leave immediately as per our private property rights in France.
These terms and this contract shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with French law. You agree that the French Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute that may arise out of, under, or in connection with these terms.

Frank went out of his way to meet me upon check in and check out and to provide me with a list of places to eat, things to see and do and a little overview of the city.

Frank was a great host, greeting us as we arrived. Communication was extremely prompt - right from booking and also throughout the stay.
The apartment is light and extremely well located within the old town, easily accessed by tram (or walking) from the train station, with cafes, small supermarkets and shops within the block, and the beach & the amazing market only a block away.
For a small apartment, it seemed spacious with a full kitchen and large bathroom.
To keep the street lights out at night, we closed the external shutters which seemed to work well.
Note: The steps (inside the apartment) to the loft beds are very steep, however our children (aged 5 & 7) managed them well.
Frank takes pride in keeping his apartment in good condition, and was in the process of replacing the bed whilst we were there, and was very responsive to any of our needs.
This was my first Airbnb experience and I can say that I am very pleased. The apartment is spacious and fully equipped. Furthermore, it's location is excellent! As for the host, Frank is a great guy. He is very nice and helpful. Due to a tight schedule I did not have the chance to meet Aurelia, but I would really like to thank her for her quick response via the Airbnb communication thread. I would definitely recommend staying in this apartment.
Lovely apartment in a perfect location in Nice. The kitchen is well equipped and the living area is very spacious. Frank is a wonderful host and gave us really good tips. Would love to stay here again!
We are 5 adults stay there for 3 nights. The apartment is very nice and clean. The location of the apartment is also near to everything. Although we didn't met Aurelia and Frank during our check-in and check-out, they are always ready to assist us via Airbnb message. There're also clean towel and plenty of hanger in house. We're happy with our stay there.

Late night live jazz. Sit out on the terrace listening to live jazz and watch the world walk by. They do not have a full kitchen however, they do offer snacks with your drinks.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Nice
Fantastic food, beautiful roof top terrace with views of the water fall and old town (weather permitting). Opens at 6pm. Best with reservation for their last service. Stay and enjoy the music.
Le Safari is one of the oldest restaurants in Nice. Their food is very authentic and has bags of flavour. Try the Buffalo mozzarella salad. The cheese come in fresh from the farm in Italy daily.
Massive plates of pasta. Try their fresh seafood with pasta but, be prepared for the largest plates of food you have ever seen. They do not offer doggie bags.
If you love fresh oysters on the half shell than you will love this gem, because oysters on the half shell is all they do! Historic restaurant, oldest in Nice.
Great food in an upscale setting. Book well in advance as they are always booked solid. Great food and you might even spot a prince or president sitting at the next table.
Take a look oveR old town from the top of the coline. Great park for the kids to play or have a picnic. There is also a beautiful waterfall and Roman ruins.
Great place for lunch. Friendly staff and fantastic management. There is also a night club in the late evenings upstairs, but I would only recommend the night club if you are in a group.
Weather you're looking for a good dinner or just a great bottle of wine, Karr offers both. However, I would recommend sticking to later evening as the ambience makes the experience here.
If you're ready to really get into the French riviera experience, Cave 51 is the place. Cave 51 is a sophisticated mature crowd. A real wine lovers paradise.

The brothers are great and their pizzas are lovely. A bit of a dive bar setting but very French.
Good food, good service and reasonably priced. They have the best Margarite pizza I have ever had. Everything is good except, avoid anything breaded and fried as they buy it frozen.
Great for the day trip. One of the most beautiful villages around. Try one of their private beaches in the summer and prepare to relax.
Beautiful village with lots of shops, restaurants, and cafe's. You could also try Antibes old town and port. A great place to pick up some specialty foods and gifts.
