Elisabeth is a lovely host, welcoming and keen to help when we needed. The flat, as some of the other guests had pointed out is basic but it is in a fantastic location and it is light and comfortable. Just what is needed for a short stay. It is within walking distance of main sites (Louvre, D'Orsay, Pompidou, Notre Dame, and many others) and there are lots of bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood that don't feel touristy and there is also a market and great shopping in adjacent streets.
Elisabeth is the perfect host and was always close by if we needed any help. The apartment is in the most amazing location, very central and in close walking distance to both RER and Metro lines. Our stay couldn't have gone any better! I'm really looking forward to returning to the apartment again soon.
At first we were a little upset, because we didn't expect that the appartment would be so... simple. But when we started living there it turned out to be very cute and cosy.
The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances: coffee maker, microwave, dish-washer, etc. There's a washing machine in the bathroom. The mattress on the bed is good and comfortable which is very essential for me and my husband as we have spinal problems.
There were two things missing: a shower curtain and a full-length mirror. Can you imagine a woman in Paris without a big mirror? :) To have an idea how I looked on the whole I used two methods: I either climbed on a chair in bathroom (and could see everything but the head) or caused the elevator and used the mirror in it.
The appartment is very well located: it's 5 minutes walk to metro and RER stations, 10 minutes to Louvre and Palais Royal, there is Pied de Cochon restaurant and Forum les Halles shopping center just round the corner.
The landlady, Elisabeth, is very nice and friendly and is always ready to help.
Not only did I love this apartment, the hosts were very quick to reply to my request for availability, which was especially important to me when I was trying to make some last minute plans to visit Paris. Three of us stayed in the apartment for four nights. Cheaper than many of the hotels, this is the PERFECT place to stay! It is so close to the metro in a nice, quiet area. There is a bus station less than a block away with buses that run straight up toward the river if you are too foot-sore (as we were by the 3rd day) to walk the mere 5 minutes to the Louve. The apartment is extremely comfortable, clean, and great for saving a little money by cooking a meal or two for yourself. The hosts were wonderfully kind, and available any time we needed anything at all. We plan to return to Paris, and when we do, we will certainly be staying here!
I had the pleasure of staying at Raphael's place in Paris from June 24th to the 30th with my husband. The place was fairly spacious, clean and with a lot of light. We were literally 5min walk from the Louvre and Les Halles. Also, we were seconds from the Montreuil Market, which made food shopping a breeze and a delight. Loads of gorgeously fresh foods where available, both for cooking at home or in Cafes.
The buidling is very quiet. The real bed was confortable ans spacious and really really appreciated at the end of a long day of seight seeing. A velib station and the Metro are literally around the corner as well as many Cafes.
Raphael was very helpfull and discret. He made himself available if we had any questions. He made us feel right at home. He gave helpful suggestions and directions. Staying at his place was a delight. I would come back in a heartbeat.
thank you Raphael!
We stayed 4 days in Raphael´s apartment. The location could not be better!! near everything you want to visit in Paris.
The apartment was confortable, cozy and clean. A very good choice to keep in mind. We recommend it. Thank you Raphael
The host canceled my reservation 7 days before arrival.
Clean, spacious, simply charming apartment within 5-10 mins walking distance to The Lourve, Les Halles shopping mall, train station and sooo much more! My only wish is that I could book this apt. again in the very near future. Raphael and his sister were pleasant hosts that ensured an effortless and accomodating check-in and check-out. Thanks again!
