The Space

I just had a cancellation for July 28- August 3. It's the only summer opening left! This place is a top floor 3 bedroom apartment just off of downtown. it offers plenty of room for family to visit and for people to just have a little space. Walking distance to train, great restaurants and a happening downtown with a lot to do. It is located just about a mile from Salem and all that it offers. Fully furnished with off street parking for two cars, coin op. washer and dryer in basement, hardwood floors, dishwasher.
Beverly is a fun foodie town with a lot of interesting restaurants, coffee shops, etc. from Italian to Indian, Thai, Mexican all within a walk of the apartment. The train depot is just down the street- go to Boston or Salem or travel north to Gloucester, Rockport or Newburyport. We can clue you into some great spots off the beaten path. Whatever your interest, you will find something here, art, architecture, boats, beaches, history and more. (did I mention food?)
Plan now for the fall. I'm open from September 15th and for Halloween week but I insist on a four day minimum for the end of October.
We are always willing to offer suggestions and tips to help you have a wonderful stay. I'm very proud of my five star reviews! One thing we try not to do though is get in your way. You're here for a vacation, not to make a new best friend. We try to respect your vibe! I hope you will consider staying here. Thanks!

  • We had a wonderful time in Boston and a great place to stay at. We enjoyed 24 Vestry St. a lot - a clean and spacious house with everything in it you need, quiet neighborhood, easy access to stores.

  • Large apt - plenty of room - quiet neighborhood - and close to Salem! Great stay!

  • My husband-to-be and his side of the wedding party stayed in the apartment leading up to the wedding. It was spacious, light filled, and Aurelia made everything very easy!

  • Aurelia was very friendly, we just meed her at the end of our stay in her house. The old wooden house is very nice. Everything was easy to handle. Berverly is a nice town and a good point to explore Boston and surrounding. We go by train to Boston, this was a easy way to rich the city.
When we will ever be in this area and we plan it, we would ask Aurelia again for a stay in her house.

  • spacious and in great location!

  • We had everything we needed and the place was nice and clean. When we first arrived there was only one AC for the whole place which would have been fine except that it was an unusually hot day and we had a baby with us but Aurelia's husband brought us an extra AC and everything was great.

  • Great location in Beverly. Clean and spacious. Easy to get to the beach, Salem and further up the north shore. Close to the train to Boston, although we did not do that.

  • Great price for a great place. Very accommodating and willing to assist in any way she could. The place was as comfortable as one could hope for.

    June 2013
  • The place was very bright and roomy, and located near a main road for shopping and dinning, which was nice. Unfortunately, we arrived the first extremely hot weekend of the summer and the place was not finished or prepared for the heat. There is no air-conditioners in the upper unit we stayed in and only two fans that did not work very well. There was also no soap provided in the bathrooms, or any bathroom amenities besides towels.

Hopefully she will be a bit more prepared for weather conditions from now on and guests should be prepared to provide all personal items including soap.

  • This apartment fitted our needs perfectly. The place was very plain, no-frills, but clean and in good-enough repair. We didn't need to prepare meals there during our one-night stay, but we certainly could have, and we did take advantage of the set-up for making coffee in the spacious kitchen, and we watched a little TV in the living room. Four bedrooms, with a double in one and a twin in each of the other three was just what we needed. Beds were all made up, and there was a good supply of clean towels and some extra pillows. The location was a very pleasant residential neighborhood, walking distance to the waterfront in this small-town feeling suburb of Boston. The only problem was that the wireless internet access that we were expecting wasn't working, though there was a router and a password available -- probably a problem that will have been fixed by the next time someone's there.

About
I am passionate and very knowledgeable about the North Shore. I can give you great ideas and a lot of history as well as suggestions for things that are off the beaten path. I also feel the the best hosts are there when you need them but not in your way. You are here to have a great visit- not to aquire a new best buddy. So I try to attune my involvement with guests to their vibe, So far it's worked well. My husband and I have worked in construction and design- we rebuilt the houses that we rent out, culinary and catering fields- clam bakes are a specialty, and the arts. Currently I work for a radio station and Bob does consulting in the building trades. We have two grown up daughters and a wonderful son in law and outstanding grand son! Over the years through airbnb and other sites and marketing we have hosted people from all over the world it is a real pleasure to host people. I enjoy it very much.
