Spacious 2 Storey Stylish Home. #2

House - Private room · Tilley St, Coburg North, VIC 3058, Australia

The Space

(Please note; I have three listings on AirBnB. If your dates aren't available on this one, please check the other listing.)

This is a 4 bedroom house, with 3 rooms available and two bathrooms! This listing is for one queen room.

Hidden in a culdesac only 15km North of Melbourne, with three fully furnished bedrooms (all queen). All have lumbar support mattress & base. Memory foam pillows from Germany also available. All have built in robes, carpets in bedrooms & ducted heating and cooling throughout. All rooms are very private and sound resistant as the house is very solid.

With a huge living area with stylish leather lounges, there's always room to relax in peace if you desire:
Upstairs lounge is spacious & inviting, with a 'way too comfortable' leather lounge. Perfect for enjoying the benefits of a 55" Sony Bravia 3D SMART HD TV. Again with a PS3/Blu-Ray player & surround sound. Perfect for keeping in contact with friends and family in comfort, or YouTube surfing, or perhaps you'd like to help yourself to a 3D blu-ray.

Be comfortable using the casual yet formal dining area.
Between the casual dining and the open plan fully equipped kitchen, there's a very comfortable lounge area where many have enjoyed sipping that first morning beverage and watch the view, as the suns early rays ricochets through the city. Alternatively, enjoy more of the view on the upstairs south-facing balcony.

European style bathroom with bath & separate shower, shared with a separate toilet.

There's a massive laundry with two washing machines (1x top loader, 1x front loader) and toilet facilities so you won't need to be tracking up & down the stairs.

Of course, there's free true broadband which includes free landline calls (voip) to anywhere in Australia, or very reasonable rates for OS calls.

A bus stop at the end of the road (150 metres) will take you to the train station close by, or a 15 minute walk away, there's access to two of Melbourne's tram lines. All up, there are two tram lines, two train lines and a bus route close by, So getting around Melbourne is a cinch.
Public transport generally takes 30 minutes to get to Melbourne's CBD.
A brand new Woolworths supermarket has opened only a five minute walk from here. It is surrounded by specialty shops, chemist, cafes etc.

The house has Security Roller Shutters throughout and is alarmed, giving instant peace of mind.

I cook semi-regularly depending on work commitments. The pantry & fridge are well stocked. There are also plenty of kitchen tools to cook when you please.
If you prefer, there are some amazing dining in the area, some who deliver.

There are many more hidden features to this comfortable home, so if you have any special requests and/or requirements there's a
good chance I can accommodate.
All questions are welcome & will be responded to as quickly as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: For one guest - $37 per night (or $259 per week)
For two guest in the same room - $51 (or $357 per week)

  • Our stay with Mark was wonderful! He is a great host, always willing to help and give you great tips! The house has everything you might need, and more. It's not so close to the city center, but it is well connected by public transport (10 min walk to the tram station, then 30 min to city center. Or 2 min walk to the bus stop). Mark, thanks again for the wonderful stay. Now we have extra reasons to come back to Melbourne. :)

  • It was amazing time, i spent really lovely time at this house. Everything was right the same as on pictures and you have everything that you need for holidays (internet, laundry, bath, kitchen...). It was my first trip to Australia and i was a little bit afraid being alone so far away from my home but i felt myself like at home. Mark is very friendly and openhearted person ( the other housemates as well) )who can advise and provide you with some brochures about Melbourne and Australia.
The bedroom, living room and dining room were spacious. Everything was so clean and nice. It is very important for me.

    Mark was an excellent landlord!

  • is worth the money I get to cook, do laundry and use the computer, Mark is a nice landlord so as the other housemates living in the same place

  • The bedroom, living room and dining room was spacious. Mark was really friendly and offered chocolate and crisps. He replied very quickly and was helpful in providing directions. It was a welcoming place and the area is residential so feels safe.
This place is great to stay if you have a car or are spending a few days in Melbourne. Door to door into the cbd area takes 50 minutes by tram (unless you're traveling before 7am). To get to Brunswick street where shops and restaurants are, takes 30 minutes. The tram comes every 8 minutes during peak times. They are currently building a supermarket near by though so getting food won't be too much of a problem in the future.
For the bedroom, the bed is very comfortable. It would be nice to have a mirror in there and a proper lamp.
There was a 5 minute water restriction when I was there but this may have been lifted. It would be good to have locks in the toilet and bathroom as the doors didn't close properly.
I enjoyed my stay there an liked the residential area.

  • Excellent place and simply outstanding host. Mark is very kind and welcoming. He does his best to help and provide needed advice/assistance. Mark is very friendly and he provided a level of service above what I expected.

I enjoyed my stay at Mark's very much. It is a very relaxing place to stay, yet 10 minutes walk to the Tram going to the City.

I have no hesitation recommending this accommodation as a great place to stay in wonderful Melbourne. Mark is a wonderful host. I can't wait to return.
    Highly recommend.

GLBT I'm very laid back and not a lot phases me. I enjoy making sure the people around me are happy but know when space and/or privacy is required, as I also find comfort with my own company. Recently I returned from a lengthy global trot. The highlights were definitely Amsterdam (not just because of the reason you're probably thinking), Berlin & Barcelona. I have made some life long friends through the process and enjoyed exposing myself to new possibilities, ideas and other ways of thinking. I run my business specialising in professional creative lighting from home (downstairs) so my hours can be varied. That being said, I've never had a guest or housemate complain of being woken or being too noisy. I'm aware of the people around me and do my best to be considerate to their needs. Home life & comfort is a high priority for me. I like to be neat without being anal about it. With a vast blu-ray collection, having one or two mates for dinner and a movie, or even solo, is how I like to relax. It doesn't phase me if there's a moment or two of untidiness as I know it'll be sorted soon enough. Life's too short to waste it on blame guilt or the like. I'm just as likely to sort it out during the process of my day without a second thought. I insist on a good laugh at least three times a day and I'm happy to be alone for those moments as I lean towards to funnier, even black comedy side of life. As I pride myself as having an open heart and mind, I do not judge for one's opinions so expect the same in return. This approach often results in fascinating conversation in to why we think the way we do and what lead us to our conclusions. Speaking of conclusions... That's enough about me.
