About this listing

It's an amazing deal, one of the best in SF, especially for those traveling for a short or extended time. You will fall in love with my historic Pacific Heights home and the unbelievable view. You will enjoy the large, open space and all the upgrades

The space

Please ask me for the special price for April through June and I'd be happy to provide it.
The Space
My home takes all the top floor of the historic Victorian building in the prestigious neighborhood of Pacific Heights. It was upgraded with lots of storage space and free amenities like fast wifi, cable HD TV, the newest flat/curved screen TV (LG 55" Black UHD 4K OLED 3D Smart HDTV With WebOS 3.0 - OLED55E6P) with Amazon Prime movies and shows, high end coffee machine, washer and dryer and many other things. It was redesigned by a well know San Francisco interior designer.

It's an amazing deal - you will fall in love with my Pacific Heights home and the unbelievable view or Japan Town, Twin Peaks and South San Francisco. It is very private and sunny. It is such a joy to be able to eat your meals at the dining room table and stare at the lights glowing on the roofs of the Victorian homes in the evening. You can even see Twin Peaks and Japan Town from my balcony. At night, the view is like a living picture – it’s a multitude of stars - it's very unique and you’ll never forget seeing it. My loft is very modern and beautiful with brand new light colored hard wood floors. It's freshly painted and fully furnished with Ligne Roset furniture, and gorgeous, original artwork.

Located on the top floor of a historic Victorian home in the heart of Pacific Heights (one of the most desirable neighborhoods in San Francisco), and one block from the nearest park, 3 blocks from the famous Fillmore Street and an easy walk to Union Street. Walking distance to the cable car stop on California street/Van Ness (4 blocks) and to the muni transport (bus). There is a nice and quiet garden where you can sit outside with a glass of wine and an available private garage ($300/month).

It's also walking distance to the Marina, Crissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge. It's just 2 blocks away from Fillmore Street and 5 blocks (downhill) to Union Street (both streets are great for shopping and dining). Pacific Heights is safe and quiet- a great area for runners or yoga lovers (many great studios - let me know and I will point you in a right direction). If you like walking, you will enjoy the views, the neighborhood's great historic homes and its parks.
Fun shopping can be found on both Fillmore and Union Street as well as in Japan Town, 3 blocks to the south. There are cafes and restaurants of all kinds. Live music can be found every night on Fillmore Street - famous jazz at Yoshi's and then there's the legendary Fillmore Auditorium itself. If you love movies – go to the Sundance Kabuki - a unique movie theater where you can get a glass of wine or a beer and enjoy the newest movie of your choice. 5 minutes by cab or a 15 minutes walk will take you to the Civic Center to see the Opera, Symphony or Ballet. Bus 1 would take you to the Golden Gate Park, Presidio and museums (it stops 1 block from my house).
San Francisco is a fun city all year round. My beautiful condominium has a dryer, dishwasher, microwave stove and a very comfortable European-king size (it's a bit smaller than American King, but larger than American Queen) Ligne Roset bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress and two Tempur-Pedic pillows. Additionally the Ligne Roset Smala sofa (the off-white color sofa on the photos) opens flat to create a bed - it is an easy process to open it. It comfortably sleeps one person. I add a Tempur-Pedic topper to make it more comfy.
Thank you for reading about my home.

Have a great time visiting San Francisco and let me know how I can help.

This is my home, not just a place to rent. I only rent it out when I am out of the city, so I won't be able to interact much. I am climbing Everest and will be gone for two months. I do have insurance for all amenities and can share a number to call, just in case of a trouble. I rather connect via email or telephone prior to your visit. My boyfriend can give you the keys and than he can pick it up. I can also leave the keys in a secure lock box in a garage so you can pick it up anytime. I will provide very clear instructions prior to your arrival. I would be very grateful for guests with integrity who would respect my space, as well as my neighbors. It's a peaceful, clean place is one of the best neighborhoods in San Francisco. I'd like to do my best to provide you with all information and answer any of your questions prior to the arrival. Please don't hesitate to email me. Thank you,

I live in Pacific Heights, which is one of the nicest neighborhoods in San Francisco with lots of beautiful Victorian and Edwardian buildings. I fell in love with this area when I first visited San Francisco. So when I moved here I was laser focused on finding a home here. My home is located on a hill, so the view is amazing. The AirBnb listed my home as located in the Western Addition - it is NOT correct. That area starts south from Pine Street, which is the border of Pacific Heights. My home is up on the hill from Pine Street – it is located on California Street that belongs to Pacific Heights. It is a very nice walk from my home down to the bay – you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. It is my daily running route – to run on Pine Street down to Marina Greens and back up on Scott Street; you can also run through the neighborhood parks.
The neighborhood parks have been just recently renovated and are beautiful places to relax and recharge (there is a very large one just a block away from my home). My home is also located 3.5 blocks from the cable car stop - the last one on corner of California Street and Van Ness Street. Also there are a lot of MUNI buses close to my home - when we connect I can help you find the bus to get to the part of the city that you would like to visit. For example: bus 1 is just one block from my home and it takes you directly to either Presidio or Golden Gate Park. If you walk four blocks south to Geary Street or three blocks to Fillmore Street you will get several buses to get you where you want to go. I get a lot of questions how far is my home from the downtown, Union Square - it is only 20 minutes walking down on California Street followed by right (walking down) on Powell street – it is an easy, very straightforward walk. You can also take a taxi, a 5 minutes ride or 10-15 minutes cable car ride (as you wait for the car to show up and to start moving and it is relatively slowly, but it's a lot of fun to experience it).
The newest 2016 model of LG HD TV 55' - I have cable, with free HBO and Amazon Prime movies and shows included in TV package and guests would have access to it. If you'd like to buy movies via my Amazon Prime, you'd do it and just reimburse me with cash at the end of your stay.

Guest access

All my home (the top floor or the historic Victorian building) and private balcony. If you can rent my home for over one month I will include additional cleaning every two weeks (my housekeeper would like to come on Tuesdays).

Interaction with guests

You will have the whole place to yourself. I you have any questions or need any help I will leave you a phone number of my boyfriend, who will be able to help with whatever you may need.

Other things to note

It is a beautiful space, created with great care and attention to high quality details.

I am renting out my home for the time I am climbing Everest this year (2 months). My home is just for longer term rentals >30 days or longer. My neighbors are very nice, but they do require that my guests will be respectful of CC&R house rules :) we can discuss the details prior to your booking. I'd like to talk to the potential guests first to see what your expectations are.
Pacific Heights and all my neighborhood is quiet and safe. There is no partying allowed in my home. I'd like you to treat my home like your own with respect to the beautiful art and things I have.
I'd appreciate if you please take your shoes off - there is a shoe cabinet, right at the entrance.

One more person can comfortably sleep on my Ligne Roset Sofa that opens up flat and created a bed. I'd provide additional bedding upon the previous request. It's easily opened and closed and you'd find instructions in YouTube on how to open Smala sofa and create a bed. I'd you'd like I'll send you and instruction as well. If I'd be in town on the day of your arrival I'd love to show your everything at home (including the sofa).

Last - please remember to leave a set of keys in the secure key lock in the garage. I will provide further instruction to my guest.

You must also acknowledge
Must climb stairs - I live in a loft on top of the Victorian building and at the entrance are the stairs.
Pet(s) live on property - I have a Cornish Rex kitty Mishka, who lives in my home. He is loving and sweet.

We had such an amazing time in this lovely apartment. We really felt at home and didn’t want to go! There are so many good things we can say. The apartment is incredible well located. It’s just 2 blocks away from Fillmore (next to bars and amazing shops nearby), but still is on a quiet block. It’s super well equipped and you will feel that you are on a “real” home. The apartment has a lot of light, amazing view of the hills, beautiful decor and a lot of attention to details. Basia was super quick and clear with the communication all the time (in spite of the fact that she was climbing Everest when we were at the apartment!). It was “hard” for us to leave the apartment after living there for almost 2 months. I stood at many (many) places in San Francisco (and many other cities) in the last years and this was one of my best experiences all-in-all (location, comfort, etc). Thank you Basia for letting us live at your beautiful house!

I ended up staying for 6 months in this apartment and I loved every day of it. It has a rare combination of being close to supermarkets, restaurants, gyms & yoga centres and public transport and yet when you are in the apartment it is a quiet oasis! The space is filled with natural light with a beautiful view out to south San Francisco. The photos provided are exactly how the apartment is. Basia was the perfect host - always making sure I had everything I needed. Can't recommend this place enough.

Basia was away climbing mountains when I arrived but her boyfriend met me at the property and showed me everything I needed to know about the place. The space is amazing! So much natural light and it feels really spacious. The view is amazing at any time of the day. And the cats are great company! The location is great too - easy walking distance to restaurants and the local Whole Foods supermarket. And not far from San Francisco's lovely parks - Golden Gate and the Presidio. This is a really great property - quiet, private and beautiful. Basia was also in contact to make sure everything was taken care of.

We had a great stay at Basia's apartment in San Fran. Really nice space to chill out in well equipped and nicely furnished/decorated. Good central location to walk/grab a bus or get the cable car to key areas of interest. We loved having the cats around but guests should be aware that you may not get a fantastic nights sleep as the cats are very active during the night and like to sleep in or on the bed. Basia was very informative and prompt at replying to emails and left us plenty of information to help us in our stay.

I am a physician and I moved to US 15 years ago. I love what city has to offer and I feel very lucky and privileged to live in San Francisco. I am an avid mountaineer/climber and I travel usually once a year, on a month - long expedition. This year, 2016 I will be climbing my last of the "7 Summits" Mt.Everest from April 11 to June 3, 2016. My home will be available for rent.
I'd like to rent my beautiful home to someone reliable for all the time when I am gone.
The things I can't live without are my family, friends, mountains, my amazing home, physical activity daily, my sweet kitties Mishka and Romeo and music/dance.
My favorite travel destinations - to many to mention. As I mentioned before, I am climbing 7 Summits, so all my previous expeditions created diverse, yet amazing memories.
My favorite books - too many to list here as I read a lot, but I love "Master and Margarita" - there are so many books in my home that now I switched to ebooks, as it doesn't take any physical space.
My favorite food is food prepared with local and organic ingredients - check out Grove on Fillmore street (casual). I do love sushi and the best sushi in the city is walking distance from my home - check out Ino Sushi for dinner (2 blocks - in Japan Town) and / or Tataki for lunch or dinner (on California street/Divisadero street) - amazing and fresh!
I travel a lot for business - Starwood hotels, but for fun - it's from staying in a tent to the 5 star hotels. I did Airbnb hosting last year and I was grateful for a very polite and nice guest. I have two Cornish Rex kitties and they can't stay alone at home for more than three data and that was the main reason for me to start airbnb hosting.

Also my neighbor downstairs rented her home many times, very successfully.
My motto in life lately is to live large - "on the edge of my comfort zone", hence climbing expeditions and now posting my home at Airbnb website. Throughout the process of renting my home I learn that my HOA CC&Rs (Homeowners Rules - there are only five units in my beautiful Victorian historic home and my apartment is located on top - hence very beautiful views) do not allow short term rentals and will only allow a month or longer rentals. I had wonderful guests from all over the world throughout the two years. Unfortunately in September I learn from the neighbors that I have to cancel the last few guests - which I did. I was grateful that AirBnb provided great support to all my future guests and help them find the accommodation in San Francisco. I would not cancel any stay, if it is in compliance with the rules of my Homeowners Association (HOA). Please feel free to ask me any questions before you send a reservation. Thank you.
