The Space

Modern amenities, retro games, spacious and conveniently located. Experience the mission district and quickly access downtown.

Come stay at my convenient and fun loft in the Mission District of San Francisco. I have two floors, a Skeeball machine (sometimes two) and all of the amenities you could hope for...laundry, WiFi, entertainment center, two bathrooms and more! The building access is incredibly easy as I'm on the first floor.

The neighborhood is great because it's quiet (compared to other parts of the Mission) yet close to hip bars, Dear Mom, Southern Pacific Brewery and Evelyn Lee. It's also a block away from Safeway (groceries) and a shopping center with a sporting goods store, post office, blockbuster and more. I'm also three blocks away from the SOMA StrEat Food Park which is famous for the consistent rotation of food trucks. Always a great place to hang out and grab a bite. If you're a foodie, I'm walking distance from Flour + Water (NY Times rated top 10 nation-wide), Slow Club, Universal Cafe, Blowfish Sushi and Central Kitchen.

It's also incredibly convenient because there's a bus line right in front of my place so you can hop on public transportation very easily. It's about an 8-10 minute walk from the 16th and Mission BART stop.

I also have a desktop computer that you can use if you don't have a laptop with you. This is great if you're traveling on business and you don't want to bring your computer but need internet access OR if you just want to jump on the web quickly and easily.

My kitchen has all the supplies you'll need to cook a good meal. Simply pick up the ingredients and you're good to go! If you love sustainable/coop style groceries, there's Rainbow Grocery a couple blocks further from Safeway.

Lastly, the Skeeball probably caught your eye...I'm the two-time national Skeeball champion and have a huge passion for Skeeball. Chances are you'll be able to play a bunch of Skeeball at my loft if you stay here. It's definitely a conversation starter...."I stayed at a loft with Skeeball...instead of the Marriott this week..."

If Skeeball isn't your thing, I have a table conversion kit that makes my dining table a ping pong table. Also very fun!

Thanks for checking out my listing.

There are some basic guidelines for booking my apartment.
1. My pricing isn't negotiable. This is my primary residence so I'm not in a position to reduce the price.
3. Ensure your profile is completely filled out because I need to get a sense of who you are since you'll be staying in my home.

Thanks!

Joey

  • Wow, I am thoroughly impressed by Joey. Not only was he super responsive, he was a delight to work with. When my colleagues flight from OH was super delayed, Joey was very flexible and even considered picking them up from the airport. (They had a nightmare of a flight) He kept in constant communication prior to their arrival and wanted to make sure that everything was in tip top shape. Prior to them checking out, he checked in with me again to make sure things were all good. His loft is clean, unique and absolutely wonderful. He even left a welcome package for them which included a bottle of wine, toiletries bag and very clear instructions on how to deal with EVERYTHING in the house. I couldn't have asked for a better place for this trip. Thanks to the loft, I believe that it helped with their decision to move to SF! Thank you very much Joey. I will definitely consider your place again for the next visitors. If you're looking for a unique place that's centrally located, Joey's loft will NOT disappoint! I highly recommend it!

  • Joey's loft is awesome! It's very clean, modern, and comfortable, and--thanks in part to his amazing, old-school skeeball machine--it's super fun to hang out in after a day of exploring the city. The neighborhood is great: good restaurants + shops + easy parking + public transit. Joey was super helpful and generally great to correspond with. He also provided his/her's travel kits, along with a bottle of wine! Great place and a great host.

  • If you're looking for an airy, modern space in the Mission District with plenty of amenities, Joey's place is ideal. The apartment itself is beautiful and well-appointed. It's in a great neighborhood and is close to shopping, food, zipcars, nightlife, and pretty much anything else you could want. The skeeball machine is a blast. Joey himself is very responsive, and an ideal host. Highly recommended.

  • I stayed at Joey's Loft with a friend. The loft looks EXACTLY as it does in the pictures. This was my first time staying in someone else's home so cleanliness was a concern for me, but Joey's place was spotless. The skeeball machine was great, I had no intention of using it, but by the end of our stay I was addicted. The loft is on the first level and faces the street, there is some street noise and "urban noise" so for someone that needs a place that is completely quiet that may be an issue, being that I live right next to a freeway, it was no problem for me and I slept perfectly fine. 1 Bathroom upstairs 1 downstairs, perfect for getting ready in the morning. Parking is on the street and was never an issue, I was always able to find parking across from the actual loft building. The neighborhood is great, lots of murals, street art, and places to eat within walking distance. Joey was super flexible with check in/check out, he was very responsive and even recommended some great places to eat. Overall fantastic experience, and I will never stay at a hotel again.
