Guest Access

5th-Floor apartment (walk up 4 flights of stairs) in a PreWar Building, with easy access to NYC's amazing day and nightlife activities.

Interaction with Guests

Guests will have access to the entire apartment (over 1,000 sqft) during their stay. Please keep in mind that the building is an older walk-up built in 1920 - referred to in NY real estate as a Pre-War building because it was built before World War II. The apartment is professionally cleaned between each guest, but since it's an older building, it does not have the look of a brand-new modern space. However, because it is older, the apartment is a classic construction with a large open layout.

The Neighborhood

The Upper Westside of NYC is full of life with great urban green spaces, easily accessible to amazing attractions in the city and most importantly, is safe.

Via the express trains, 4 stops from Times Square, 5 stops to Herald Square/Penn Station, 6 stops to Union Square.

Central Park is 3 blocks away, entering at the Great Hill and the Children's Glade (which both offer priceless views of Manhattan's skyline).

In season, multiple Farmers' Markets are either a short walk or train ride away. Saint John the Divine Cathedral is right down the street, to view their resident peacocks (one of which is a rare albino peacock) that stroll freely in the garden.

There's a great selection of shops and food to cater to eclectic tastes, as well as a short train ride to the Museum of Natural History and Lincoln Center (for the Metropolitan Opera and NYC Ballet).

Getting Around

2 blocks from the 1 train; 3 blocks from the B & C trains. Walking distance to express stations for 2, 3, A, & D trains (or just easily transfer from local trains). 2 blocks from M60 bus stop, which takes you right to LaGuardia Airport.

Other Things to Note

The apartment is on the street facing side of a PreWar walkup. While new appliances and updates have been made to the apartment, it is not a new construction and is well lived in when I'm in the city, so please respect the space and neighbors as you would at your own home. The apartment gets great light and sky views (but I also have blackout curtains in the bedroom to darken the space for a good night's sleep).

World Traveller; Love Food; Love Comfort, so I stay where the food is good and the home is restful...

Big on communication! Although I have a general "before noon" check-out and "after 3pm" check-in, I appreciate guests that can offer honest and firm check-in/out times, as far in advance as possible. Since the place has to be cleaned and prepared for each visitor, I will try to accommodate adjusted check-in/out times; however, it's very important to plan your arrival time in accordance with our guest calendar. It's ok to be running late or to have missed your plane and be delayed by 3 hours, but please let me know when this happens, so I can adjust my schedule accordingly; since I'm a working professional, I can't wait at the apartment all day, especially during work hours. Please respect my time, as I gladly respect yours :o)
