Big and comfortable beach front home with pool and hot tub in Honolulu.
The open style of this Hawaiian property has ideal vacation home conveniences, such as a completely renovated ocean view kitchen with 2 refrigerators, an ocean view master bath, a living room with doors that open to the ocean where you can sit steps away from the sand and water. The many spacious bedrooms in this house allow groups to stay together while affording ample private space. The home spans the entire ocean front portion of the lot.
This home also has access to a large gated pool area, which is shared amongst the Banyan Estate and the house next door. The water in front of the home is shallow and calm, which is good for children. Surfing is possible during the summer months in front of the home if you walk out past the reef where it gets deeper. Amazing snorkeling is just a few minutes up the road at world famous Hanauma Bay.
Private home, single dwelling, private yard, on a very large estate comprised of a total of 4 homes. This home is the largest. The three additional homes have their own fenced in yards and parking. Everything is private except the pool and hot tub area, this is shared among four homes on the estate.
Interaction with guests
We provide guests with a free app that includes driving directions, move in instructions, information about the house and loads of info about our island. We love to share our favorite recommendations with guests, and are available in the office 7 days a week to answer your questions. After hours we use an answering service in case you need reach us about anything urgent.
This property is located oceanfront with friendly neighbors to either side. The beach in front of the home isn't near a public access, so is quite private. The Banyan Tree is in a super convenient location - the airport is 20 minutes away, Pearl Harbor about 25, and Waikiki is 10. You are close to lots of local restaurants and shops, as well as major chains such as Whole Foods.
Public Transportation is possible and a bus stop is located just up the block, but we highly recommend a car as there are many spots you will want to see on the island that aren't accessible by bus. Taxis are available in this area if you call ahead, and we are happy to announce that Uber is now readily available in Honolulu as well.
Other things to note
The state of Hawaii requires both the GET (General Excise Tax 4.712%) and TAT (Transient Accommodation Tax 9.25%) be applied to rent and fees, a total of 13.962%. The Airbnb platform does not currently give us the ability to itemize and charge these taxes accurately. We are in contact with Airbnb regarding this, and hope to have the issue fixed soon. In the meantime, after making a reservation all guests will be sent a separate e-contract with house rules, and will be required to pay the taxes using a major credit card. All guests will be required to sign a house rules contract and pay required State of Hawaii taxes prior to arrival. If you do not feel comfortable signing the house rules or paying the taxes outside of the Airbnb website please do not book online.
The house rules are standard, such as no smoking and no pets. One very strictly enforced rule is that we do not permit outside guests; all people on property must be registered. Our homes are intended for the enjoyment of our resident guests and not as a gathering spot for parties or events. This is in order to honor and respect the neighbors - we take pride in being great neighbors! If you would like more information about the rules please request a copy of our full contract before making a reservation.

Hawaii Beach Homes is a family owned business located in Honolulu, Hawaii. We offer a small selection of beach front rentals on the beautiful island of Oahu. Our business started over 35 years ago when our founders fell in love with a beach house on their favorite beach, Laniakea, and were able to purchase it for their family when it finally went on the market. Friends began asking to rent their home when they were not using it, and then other friends began asking them to help take care of beach homes they had purchased. The rest is history.
We are a boutique vacation rental company, and carefully choose each property we take on. All of our owners are part of our Ohana (extended family), and our small staff has spent lots of time in each home. We know every house, beach, and neighborhood well, and love nothing more than helping you choose the perfect spot for your own Ohana.
