It is a small but cozy house in Itzimná, on the first floor is a double bedroom and a bathroom. It has a fully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful dining room. The room has direct access to a rear terrace where you can enjoy a meal!
Beautiful house with a room available for up to 2 people. In one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Merida called Itzimná, near to Paseo Montejo and malls, downtown is about 10 minutes by bus. You can reach any of these places by walk, but public transportation it´s available in a few meters from the house. The neighborhood is one of the oldest in Merida, with a beautiful park surrounded of colonial mansions and vegetation, a few blocks you can find restaurants, grocery stores and so much more. The house is on two floors and has a living and dining room, kitchen with everything you need, bathroom private, spacious room with access to the backyard and a small terrace to enjoy the trees and the birds. Includes internet, cable TV in the TV room and all amenities. It is all new and comfortable. I´m from Merida and I speak English, a little Italian and a little French, so I can help you to organize your trip by giving you tips according to what you want to do. I love meeting people and traveling at every opportunity I have, so there's a relaxed atmosphere at home, where we can talk and exchange recipes. Two small cats living with me.
Para una estancia más placentera lo unico que espero es que nos ayudemos a mantener un poco de orden y limpieza en la casa, Y respetar las cosas que hay en ella.
For a more enjoyable stay all I hope is that we help to maintain some order and cleanliness in the house, and respect the things that are in it.
Diana was a welcoming host with a beautiful home. My partner and I unfortunately only had one night to stay in Merida. Diana was really helpful and let us drop off our packs during the day so we were able to make the most of our short visit and explore the city without being weighed down. We didn't have any issues walking to and around the historical areas and the galleries. Her neighborhood felt very safe, and convenient. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, Diana even had some toiletries available, though we brought our own. She had an issue of Yucatan Today, which contains maps of the areas we visited as well as some food suggestions.
Apartment/house is beautiful and clean. Diana was really nice.
The only disadvantage was that place was hard to find, GPS is needed - coty is big and there are many streets called 17 :(
This house is a small work of art, really comfortable, stylish and extremely clean. We stayed only two nights, but it's worth to stay more if you can. It's not so close to the center of Merida (we liked this because we found the center a bit too chaotic), but it is located in a very quite and safe area, and by bus you can easily be in the center in 15 mins. Amazing.
Diana's place is great with lovely, artistic decorations. The room is super private, clean and zen; with the slate floors and marbled bathroom it feels a bit spa like. The neighborhood feels very safe, and I liked that it was in a quiet area -- I enjoyed being able to walk down the Pasa Mantejo to the city center, and then retreat back again to a lovely quiet room and a great patio to sit on. It was conveniently near restaurants and the Chedraui (supermarket). Diana herself was very nice and kindly called me a cab for my early trip to the airport, which I much appreciated.
Diana's place is new and artsy. The bedroom and bath are both very nicely appointed. There is also a back porch off the the bedroom to use if you like. While not in the center of Merida it is easy to get to transportation or walk to all the "must-see" places. Don't miss out on going for breakfast at Wayane' (in Diana's guide book) for the best tacos of your life!
I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Diana's place. The house is beautiful, spacious and clean, and so is the guest room with private bathroom. The guest room goes out to a little patio and backyard, which is a nice place to escape the afternoon heat.
It's true that Diana's house is not right in the middle of downtown, but that's what i actually loved about it. Itzimna is such a pretty neighbour with gorgeous houses, nice little parks and some very good places to eat. And the hustle and bustle of the historical center is really not far away at all, just a 5-10 min ride on one of the frequent buses. If it's not too hot it's even walkable.
Diana herself is a great host, very helpful and accommodating. My flight was more than 2 hours late, but she waited for me to let me inside. When i had to catch a super early flight back home she pre-ordered a cab for me.
All in all highly recommended!
Very lovely and clean home. Not super close to downtown but in a nice, quiet area.
